PREPARATION PHASE

I still can't believe what happened last night. I kissed Sam and she kissed me back!!
It felt amazing!!
I had had feelings for her since the day I saw her. Maybe I should ask her out....or maybe not!

It isn't the right time.
The first priority right now is the mission. I need to train her in around 13 days and also protect her. I cannot even imagine anything happening to her in this deadly mission. I will most definitely ask her after all this is over.

I moved out of the tent towards the ground where Sam was to be trained.
She was sitting on the bench smiling, looking beautiful as always.
She was also humming a song. Her sweet voice bought a smile on my face as she acknowledged my presence.
"Hey!" She said
"Hi!! What song was that?" I asked
"Oh! Well, it was a song I remember from my childhood. My father used to sing it to me" she said with a gist agony.
"I'm sorry" I said when we were interrupted by Aiden.
"Hey guys!! buckle up we're going to be having tough days now" said Aiden. He seemed pretty excited for the mission. So was I....
Going to missions like these increases your army status and more importantly beacuse Sam will be there with me.

"Okay so first off, we need to plan" I said.
"Yes!! We sure do. I have way too many questions. Firstly where to find this blinder then, how do I use my power and also how to fight the zealus" said Sam in one breath.
"Calm down!!! Ava has been working on the location. We shall find it out in today's meeting and, you can use your powers after some practice." Explained Aiden

We then, went to the meeting. The door to the room was half open and Ava was talking to someone privately. The whispers were barely audible but they seemed dicey. As soon as we walked in, Ava who was talking to a guard got in a concious scared position as if she was hiding something.

"Uh-hey-umm you guys!! Come in please" she stuttered.
Must've been a talk of some other mission...

"So....about the blinder. It is hidden in the wilderness of the Amazon forest." Said Ava.
"What!!! South America!!??" said Sam in complete shock.
"Yes, the exact location cannot be determined because of the protective charms around it. You guys will teleport to the Amazon forest, find the blinder in there and return with it. You're now dismissed" completed Ava.

"Teleport???" Was the first question that Sam asked after moving out.
"Yea! Aiden can teleport us to different destinations using his spell work" I told her.
"Wooww!" Exclaimed Sam.
"My pleasure" said Aiden winking.
"Okay so let's begin...we hardly have any time left" I said getting Sam's attention towards me away from that flirtatious winking wizard!

"The plan is...We will reach the Amazon forest next Sunday." I said pointing the amazon forest map kept on the table.
"From there, we will have to look for the blinder which won't be easy. The charms can be sensed from a certain distance by wizards so, we will follow my instincts" continued Aiden.
"The way will be filled with dragons, werewolves or vampires of zealus who will try to stop us. So, we need to work on the fighting area." I said.
"Once we reach there, you open the door using your blood and Ronan picks the blinder. By that time, I'll work on removing the charms so that we can teleport back here. It's a time taking process, but I've been practicing" said Aiden.
Sam kept nodding her head as we went on explaining the plan.

Soon, the training began Sam couldn't use her powers. I kept asking her to focus but it didn't work.
Yet, we didn't give up and she, started doing other sorts of physical exercises instead. I practiced my knife throwing on dummies while Aiden worked on his wand techniques.
The tremendous training ended at around 11 at night. All three of us were panting with tiredness as we laid down on the ground looking at the stars above.

"I never thought my body was capable of this much exertion" commented Sam.
"That's because it wasn't.....You could bear this rigorous training session just beacuse you're a vampire. You're much stronger now." Aiden told her.
"Oh! I Almost forgot that" joked Sam with a slight giggle.
"Well! Does being a vampire also means that I am immortal or stuff?" Asked Sam.
"Not exactly..... Vampires do die after an age maybe after 420 homo years or more. That's why we are gifted with the power to reproduce....Other than that, what you homos believe is close to reality. If you want to kill a bifur, you need to stab him/her with a silver knife." I expounded.
"So, should I stop eating garlic too??" Asked Sam
"No no!! that homo theory is just senseless" I said with a chuckle.

The next day the same preparation for the mission started. Sam, again tried to use her powers. Fortunately, this time after 2-3 hours of tiring attempts, she learned how to start the fire in her hands.
With this, the route of the training changed from physical exercises to learning the usage of her power.
She started using her powers more and more and within 5 days, she learned to control them too. She has always been a fast learner!!

Finally, the days went by with the extreme training routines. We were ready for the mission.

On Saturday evening, we sat together on the ground after experiencing the last day of our training.
"You've packed all the necessary stuff haven't you?" Asked Sam in slightly panicked tone.
"Yes Sam, Don't worry!! Everything is done. Go get some sleep, tomorrow is a big day" Aiden said.
"It indeed is a tough mission but we can do this....together." I said extending my hand.
Both of them stacked their hand above mine and confidence rushed through us.
Nobody knew what might happen in this fatal mission but we most definitely needed that confidence!!

Tomorrow is the day, we start the journey to save an entire race.....
