~Loretta's POV~
The door of the Emperor's Castle opened, revealing two scouts in old and outdated looking uniforms.
"Take me to my... I mean Owl Lady's confiscated junk!" A scout announced.
"Nice save." The other one mumbled. There was something going on, no uniform was THAT outdated.
"Hey you, fellow guard!" A guard exclaimed while I glared at them. "We just found a lot of illegal Hexes Hold'em Cards. Can we get the key to the warehouse?" The Coven scout gives them the key, without paying attention. The two guards go toward the elevator and unlock access. Once the doors close, I start my investigation.
"Who were those guards?" I asked the scout who gave them the key.
"I don't know." They mumbled, shrugging. I looked back at the elevator and glared.
~Flashback~
"Your daughter was in my mind along with the human and the Golden Guard." Belos seethed after I bowed to him.
"And you've come to tell me to get it together and hunt her down?" I asked.
"No, Hunter won't be returning." Belos said and it took everything in me to not squeal.
"What are you saying, sir?" I asked.
"You know exactly what I'm saying, Loretta." Belos got up and started walking toward me. "Although, I do want you to hunt someone down. It'll help ease your debt."
"Consider it done." I saluted as I walked out of the Throne Room. On the way, I ran into Terra Snapdragon, I hated her and her gloating about being a Coven Head. "Oh Terra, hello. How's your mustache?"
"Better than any of your marriages." She shot back and I scowled. " I assume you've heard the news of the minor setback, involving your children?"
"My problem child?" I asked before scoffing. "Ingrid's been a thorn in my side since she was born."
"Children in general are thorns in my side." Terra agreed.
"Which is why you shouldn't have any." I sneered.
"And what's your excuse?" She asked and I was practically fuming.
"If you'll excuse me, I have some ordering to do." I said as calmly as I could.
"Oh, so you got the information about the Golden Guard?" Terra asked before smirking. "With you around, everything will just be yelling and your curse." Terra laughed as she walked away. I walked away in the opposite direction, scowling. "Absolutely nothing will get done."
"Not on my watch, Snapdragon." I growled.
~End of flashback~
I decided to follow those guards down to help them get to know the ropes.
~Small time skip~
"Hands up, Owl Lady!" A scout shouted as Edalyn, dressed as some humanoid bird thing rushed toward them.
"Eda!" Luanna shouted as another scout trapped her in a magic net. Edalyn tried to fight the Abomatons, but she ended up getting trapped in a net, too.
"Lock 'em up, and use the heavy duty stuff this time." I ordered.
"Yes ma'am." They both chorused. Edalyn and Luanna got thrown in jail.
"An envoy from the castle is coming to collect the human. The Owl Lady is to be taken to the Conformatorium for petrification, a real one this time." A scout said.
"Why don't you just save yourself the trouble and put me down now." Edalyn mocked.
"You happy now?" Luanna asked. This way, neither of us can stop Belos. Why couldn't you just let me help with your stupid plan? Is it 'cause I'm a kid? Do you think I'm still that weak? Well?"
