Watching and Dreaming

(A/N: Y'all, I ain't ready to say goodbye to the Boiling Isles!)

~3rd Person POV~

Luz, Amity, Hunter, Ingrid, Willow, Gus, Camila, Stringbean, Ghost, Clover, Luna, and Emmiline were on the platform of the Titan's head. The platform suddenly started to shake, surprising everyone.

"Huh?" They all questioned. Ghost hissed. Pink strings drop down from above and wrap around Gus, Willow, Ingrid, and Hunter's arms.

"Huh?" Hunter questioned.

"What the-" Ingrid was cut off by her, her boyfriend, and her two friends getting dragged upwards. Willow and Gus gasped and screamed as this is happening, with Willow briefly reaching upward to keep hold of Hunter and Ingrid's hand. Camila, Ghost, Clover, Luna, and Emmiline got dragged upwards by similar pink strings. Camila cried out as she hugged the palismen tight.

"Mama!" Luz called out as pink strings wrapped around Amity and dragged her upwards, causing her to cry out in surprise. Luz tried to reach out her hand towards Amity. "Amity!" A bright flash suddenly appeared behind Luz. She turned around to look at it, and was forced to shut her eyes as the flash was too bright. When the flash faded, the entrance to the In Between Realm appeared. "What happened?" Luz's hand tried to reach the portal.

"Hey!" A voice echoed.

"We were... just about to enter the Archives..." Luz mumbled.

"HEY!!!" The voice echoed louder.

"We were just about to rescue Eda and King." Luz continued.

"Luz, the human!" The voice echoed. A close up view of the Titan's eyes and nose, still alive, appeared. Something which looked like Hooty can be seen coming out of his right eye. "You have to wake up."

Another white flash blinded Luz. Once the flash faded, Luz's eyes were shut. Her eyes then shot open. The sound of heartbeat thumping could be heard in the background. Further away, Luz was shown inside the throne room of the Emperor's Castle. She was sitting on Belos' throne and wearing his outfit. Above her, the heart was beating. Luz sat up from the throne of the castle, clutching her head.

"How did I get here?!" Luz grunted. She looked down and noticed that she was wearing Belos' outfit. Shocked, she gasped, then yelled out in fright and fell backwards, landing on the ground in a sitting position. She then looked up at the throne. "What is this? Is- is this a dream??" As Luz spoke, Stringbean appeared from behind Luz and bit on her ear and squeaked. Luz cried out in pain. "Ow! Stringbean, it's you! You sweet, little power noodle. I'm so happy to see you. Are Mama and the others okay?" As Luz spoke, Stringbean floated towards Luz's hands as she carried the palisman in her palms. Stringbean squeaked apologetically in response to Luz's question. Luz looked to her right worriedly. Luz walked down the corridors of the castle. Eventually, she found the front door and walked out of it. She walked up the bridge and looked around scaredly. "Where is everyone?" She asked. Luz walked over to the edge and looked down, then gasped in shock. Beneath the bridge, various residents of the Boiling Isles have been petrified, with an expression of shock and horror frozen on their faces. "No! No, no, no!!! Wh- When did this happen?!"

"Don't you remember?" Amity asked, resentfully. Luz looked towards the source of sound, eyes wide and in surprise. Far away from her, Amity was standing on the platform on the other side that connected the bridge, holding her staff and wearing her black mid-sleeved dress with a gray belt fastened around her waist, orchid tights and black heeled boots with golden crescent moon buckles. She didn't look at Luz, but her voice was filled with anger. "This is all your doing. You helped Belos meet the Collector." She turned around to face Luz. "Your actions led to THIS." Amity's gaze turned furious, tears forming in her eyes. "You've been the real villain this whole time!" As Amity spoke, she raised her staff and pointed at Luz.
