King seemed to be having a bad dream, as he woke up in Willow's lap, terrified.
"It's okay, King, it's okay." Willow cooed. Amity was pacing back and forth, Gus was inspecting his power amplifier, I was staring at Hunter's note, Ghost, Flapjack, Luna and Gus's palisman were huddled in a shaking pile. Hunter did various adjustments to the air ship to help steer it.
"I know how to fly a ship." Alador said irritated.
"Then fly faster! We're barely halfway there! Luz could be in trouble!" Amity exclaimed.
"Maybe if I took the wheel..." Hunter suggested only to get cut off by Alador.
"Very eager to return to Belos, eh, Golden Guard?"
"At least I've never built him an army!" Hunter yelled.
"Watch your tone with me, young man." Alador shot back, letting go of the steering wheel, causing the ship to tilt.
"Hey, here's a bright idea: Don't distract the pilot!" Gus yelled.
"Unless you want all of us to die before we can stop Belos." I rolled my eyes.
"He started it!" Hunter childishly yelled. Alador, Hunter, Gus, Amity, and I all started yelling at each other. King and Willow watched sadly from the back of the ship.
"I can't believe she's gonna face Belos alone again. And I'm powerless to help her. We can't even manage to help each other." King said softly. Willow lifted up Clover, and nodded to her. Clover flew on over to where the other palismen are. The palismen pushed a box of cheeses, bread, and apples over to the arguing witches, interrupting our fighting. Gus' stomach growled.
"Look, we're all exhausted and terrified. Let's focus our energy on helping Luz instead of fighting each other." Amity reasoned. We all took a snack from the box. Gus fist bumped Hunter as an apology as Hunter wrapped an arm around me and snuggled into my side. Alador gestured at Hunter to steer the wheel with a sincere smile. To the side, Amity was rubbing her hands together from the cold, but Alador summoned Abomination goo to cover her hands. He sat down next to her.
"Hmm? Aw, this is just like when I was a kid." Amity said as her eyes widened in realization. "Wait. Is this why you call me 'Mittens'?" Alador just smiled at her and ate his bread.
"Here Amity." I said as I summoned my cloak over her shoulders.
"Oh Ingrid, I can't take this." Amity protested. "It's Hunter's and I-"
"Was Hunter's." I corrected. "Besides, now it's mine and I'm allowing you to use it."
"You're so sweet, Whispers." Hunter sighed as he laid on my shoulder.
"You're so cute, Goldie." I said as we both chuckled. Everyone was staring at us with knowing looks, even the palismen.
"So, how did those cutesy little nicknames start?" Willow asked with a smug smile.
"Oh, it was from a long time ago." Hunter waved off.
"So?" Gus asked. "We're willing to listen." Amity and Alador nodded.
"Well, Goldie comes from when he introduced himself to me." I said.
"Please don't." Hunter whispered as his ears drooped in embarrassment.
"He said, and I quote, 'I'm the Golden Guard!'" I chuckled as everyone started giggling, even Hunter as he playfully shoved the side of my head.
"Well, Whispers comes from her parent, kinda." Hunter explained. "I heard Raine's name and when I knew she was their daughter, I kinda just assumed they had the same last name."
