Finally, the day had come. It was moving day, luckily Bucky had lived right next door to Stacy, so there was no need for moving trucks and a lot of people. She was relieved when Bucky decided to move into her place because now she wouldn't have to re-hide all of the weapons that she had in her apartment. She wouldn't have to alert Leviathan about her location change.

She was worried, however, that Bucky would discover something he shouldn't, whether it be her powers or her suit under the floorboard in her closet. She was also worried about the mission and why the feeling in the pit of her stomach only grew when he was around. She didn't know why she had that feeling, but she did.

Bucky moving in was not only a good thing but also a bad one. Every night that she had been with Bucky the nightmares would go away and she could sleep. But every night she spent alone they would happen again. And every night she had them she would get closer to finding out who was behind the mask.

She doesn't know if she wants to know anymore. She hasn't heard from Alina in over a year. She was told that Alina would check in every few months until they confirmed the identity of the man would be called the Winter Soldier. Does this mean that they have found him? And when will they be coming to tell her? She didn't know, but she hoped that whenever it was Bucky wasn't with her when it happened.

February 1938
It had been six months since Bucky and Stacy had moved in together. Six months had passed and that feeling in the pit of her stomach had still not gone away. Six months and she had still not heard from Alina. Six months and she realized that it was the love of her life, James Barnes, who would become the person that she feared most.

She knew she couldn't tell him. She knew that she couldn't leave him either, it would tear her apart if she did. The only thing she could do was help to keep him on the right path to his destiny, whatever that might be.

"Stace, I'm leaving for work," he called to her from the door.

"No your not. You can't leave until I get a proper goodbye," she said walking toward him.

Grabbing the sides of his face, she pulled him down to her height, kissing him deeply before pulling away.

"I don't think I should go to work today, we should just stay home, in bed," he said, smirking down at her.

"You know as much as I would love that, we can't. We both have a job to get to and if you don't leave now you'll be late. We can continue this later."

"I'll be looking forward to it. Bye Doll, I love you."

"Goodbye Buck, I'll see you after work. I love you."

After Bucky had left for work, Stacy began to walk around the apartment checking every hiding spot to make sure everything was where it should be. Grabbing her keys before walking out the door and locking it behind her, she headed off to the diner, preparing herself for another day filled with rude customers and lousy tips.
