As my clothes were very tatty and too small for me, Mrs Hardey decided to take me shopping for new ones.

I put on some clothes which were fairly decent and went downstairs for breakfast.

"Oh Daisy, you can't wear those. You'll have to borrow something from the other girls,"

In the end I had to borrow some jeans and a top from Amy, shoes from Dani and a cardigan from Jasmine.

"That's much better," says Mrs Hardey.

I smile shyly.

"Well, lets go" she calls good bye to the other social workers and tells me to sit in her car. We never usually go in her car, we always have to go in the minibus.

"I'm going to have to buy you a whole new wardrobe." she says with her eyes on the road.

I nod, then feel foolish when I realise she can't see me.

"Yeah my clothes are pretty tatty." I agree.

"I'm afraid I can only shop from Primark, we have a budget on clothing for each child and it isn't much."

"What's Primark?" I ask and she raises her eyebrows.

"It's a shop where you buy clothes." she says.

"Oh is it outside?" I ask.

"Erm no it isn't" she answers

"Oh my mum always used to take me to a place outside in a field to buy my clothes." I tell her.

"Yeah, that's called a car boot sale. They only happen on Sundays."

I turn to look out the window and we don't speak another word for the rest of the journey.
