The galaxy being shown was dubbed the 'Nexus Galaxy'. Each planet appeared to be dead. No green anywhere. It was like life had ceased to exist. War ships of all sizes flooded the space surrounding each planet. All guarding a large spacecraft.

The lower decks of the spacecraft were holding cells. The cells were guarded by creatures that appeared to be similar to the appearance of Elfen. Each of them were armed with rifles that shot large powerful blasts, capable of vaporising any living lifeform to ashes. The ship, commanded by Elfen himself, was the commanding ship of the fleet that ruled the galaxy. In the command centre, Elfen sat upon his throne, overseeing everything that happened in the galaxy.

"My Lord, we're experiencing a rebel force attacking one of our sections on Dovaros. It appears they have obtained our weapon supply."

"Send the thirty-first battalion to handle it."

"Yes, my Lord." The general bowed before his presence and left the command centre swiftly with his orders. As Elfen peered through the large glass barrier in front of him, several smaller ships detached from the command vessel and descended to the planet below. A grin formed on his face. His reign of terror could not be matched. Or so he thought

As Elfen watched his fleet of warships launch their upcoming assault, he felt his own command vessel shake as an explosion echoed throughout the corridors. Alarms began ringing.

"General Mors. What's happening?"

"It appears we've been breached, my Lord. We have multiple battalions down."

"Take care of it."

"Yes, my Lord." He headed towards the corridor, but was blown back by a large explosion. Rebel fighters swarmed the command deck, using their own weapons against them, vaporising more of Elfen's troops. The fight caused mass casualties on either side, but the rebels remained victorious with Elfen standing in the centre.

"It's over, Elfen. We have your fleet surrounded. Your defence mechanisms are down. Stand down your forces and surrender yourself to the Nexus Resistance."

"Freedom fighter. Tell me, Commander Salum, what good does fighting against me get you? All I see is bloodshed, and destruction. This time, blood is on your hands."

"And the blood of innocence is on yours. Women, and children. Slaughtered in their sleep as you invade their homes. Their planets." Commander Salum raised his rifle. "Surrender yourself, Elfen."

"Not a chance."

"Then long live the king." The Commander shot his rifle, sending a pulsating vibration towards Elfen, enough to neutralise his powers and cause him to lose control of his mind. He collapsed to his knees and felt weak. He had never felt such loss of strength before. Rebel guards wearing protective headgear moved in to arrest the once powerful king. They placed him in large chains, preventing him from using his abilities. As they escorted him out, all Elfen could do was smile, knowing that he soon would return.

"Commander. They're here. We found them."

"Bring them to my chamber." The soldier, who had found a chest, signalled over two more guards to carry the chest away. The contents unknown.

As Elfen remained in captivity, his fleet began to fall; with rebel forces destroying hundreds of ships and reclaiming their territory. It was not long after that Elfen faced trial for his crimes.

"Elfen the Warrior. The Once King of the Nexus. You are found guilty of all crimes you are accused of, and shall be banished from the galaxy and never able to rule again. May your solitary confinement put you on a path of righteousness." Elfen once again grinned. It was as if nothing bothered him, and he had a plan.

The guards escorted Elfen to another large chamber. He was chained to a large platform in the centre of the chamber, which was then sealed off. In a separate chamber, the chest with the items found by the Commander's troops were hidden. The whole chamber was sealed off completely and lowered by a crane into a small asteroid.

"Lieutenant. Launch the asteroid." As instructed, the asteroid, holding a single captive and a valuable treasure was launched into the galaxy, and set adrift to travel far far away.

"What if he returns, Commander? Will we be able to stop him?"

"Wherever he lands, he won't survive the impact."

The asteroid travelled for many years, narrowly missing many other asteroids, planets, and moons. When it reached the solar system, a small chunk of the asteroid had broken off, and crashed into the moon. The remaining piece of the asteroid continued to drift further, finally falling into the atmosphere of the Earth, where it remained for thirty-two million years.

Eric closed the portal and descended to the ground. The group didn't know what to make of it. Henry got up and left the room, Connor following quickly behind.

"We've been fighting that monster?"

"The contents of the chest would appear to be your gems. Elfen ruled in fear. As much as he ruled, he wasn't intelligent enough to discover the rebel uprising forming on the planet Nemerth. He dominated that galaxy, and we can not let him do it here."

Cameron looked around, and noticed that Chris and Tyler didn't know what else to say. It was true that they had more power and strength than him. He was a basic super soldier. Yet he had more combat experience, and knew the strategies that his foes had used, even foes from other planets.

"He's going to get inside your head. He'll be back, and probably with a lot more strength. We know that the stones call to him, we just don't know why. That puts everywhere you go at risk, but you need to keep the stones with you. So just be prepared for anything."

"I think we could do with some training." Tyler got up and signalled for Chris to follow. He had learned his skill set, and he knew what the group had to do to learn theirs. It was time for a work-out session that they would much rather forget.
