The blue ring spawning in the middle of the battlefield was another one of Eric's portals. As the portal took its shape, electric sparks began to fly out of the portal. There was another opponent entering the fight. Chris looked over in awe. An armoured figure flew out of the portal and collided with Elfen, pushing him further back. Using his fists, he summoned electricity to shock him, and combined different fighting styles to force Elfen further and further away from the team. The figure's armour was in a similar style to the boys; only the colour and the element icon had changed.

"Who are you?" The figure's head gear retracted.

"Hello, guys."

"Tyler?" The group gathered around him, all of them retracting their head gear. As far as they knew, Tyler was in the hospital, and wasn't in any fit state to be moving.

"How is this possible?"

"When I fell in the sinkhole, I hit the ground and my hand fell to the side of me, hitting an orange-looking crystal. There was a bright light and I passed out. When I woke up, I was in the hospital, but with very few injuries. I felt better. Better than I have been before."

"What about that skill set? You definitely couldn't do that before."

"I had a vision. Someone spoke to me while I was unconscious. I don't exactly remember who it was. I didn't recognise their voice. They told me about the crystals. What they were made to do. What they can do. I just trusted my instincts, and boom; a skill set I can use to fight."

The trio were amazed to see their friend in good shape once again. It was obvious that he had bonded with the orange crystal when he fell, and it appeared it managed to heal him too. On the other end of the street, their foe had stood back up.

"I got this one."

"No, Tyler. We do this together." The four re-equipped their head gear and charged at Efen. With their combined skill set, they began another assault on the foe. Elfen stood their and took all the hits.

"You think your abilities are enough to stop me? Don't you realise that our abilities match each other?" He reached his arms out shooting long green vines, catching Connor. The vines wrapped around him, securing him tightly and began to squeeze, crushing him.

"G-Guys...he-help...!" The vines covered his face, but Chris came to his aid and sliced the vines down the centre. Connor fell to the ground, gasping for air. He took a deep breath and stood back up, feeling more pissed as his attacker.

Tyler launched his own combination of attacks against Elfen. Electricity bolts and orange power flying across the battlefield. Elfen tried to block, but each time changed his stance, another member of the group struck. Each blow weakened his attacks. It was too much for Elfen to handle. He launched himself up into the air, and plunged himself down, crashing into the ground and sending a large surge knocking them back.

"This isn't working." Henry exclaimed. "Did your vision give you any other clues as to what to do?"

"There is something we can try."

"Then feel free to share with the group. It's not like we're getting our asses handed to us or anything."

"Get up." All four stood back and stood together. "Put your arms together, and just stand strong." They placed their arms out in front of them, together, aiming at Elfen. "Just let the power flow through you. Feel it. Control it. Use it. Don't hold back." As Tyler spoke his words of wisdom, beams of light and power shot from the fists of the boys in their respective colours. The beams travelled across the battlefield and hit their intended target. Elfen tried to repel the attacks, summoning a forcefield in front of him, but as the boy's power stood strong, Elfen's forcefield did not. It grew weaker until it eventually broke. Each beam struck Elfen, but it became too much for him to handle. The power flung him across the battlefield, hitting his head on rocks as he hit the ground. In pain and agony, he stood back up, unable to stand still.

"You may have this small victory, but I will return for what is rightfully mine." In an instant, a large beam of light appeared around him and he vanished, the light fading away too. Elfen had retreated, and the group had secured their first victory. The Battle of Manchester was an allied victory.

"He's going to come back."

"And it's clear he wants these crystals."

"I don't know what he intends to do with these, but what I do know is that we need to protect them at all costs. We can afford risking letting them be in the hands of him."

"We need to get back to Eric's mansion. Maybe he can help us prepare. He's going to come back sooner or later."

"You know Eric?" As Connor questioned his connection to Eric, one of his portals opened on the battlefield.

"How do you think he got here?" Eric and Cameron stepped through the portal. Cameron appeared to have a bruise on his face that definitely wasn't there before, and Chris noticed it. All of them entered back through the portal and back into Eric's mansion. Once again, they were in the main chamber that they were in before.

Cameron sat down in a large navy blue armchair. It was evident that he was worn out by something that occurred while the team was fighting. There must have been some sort of battle or attack that he was involved in, but the chamber looked immaculate, like nothing had even occurred there. Miles had also vanished, as he was nowhere to be seen. Henry didn't like the vibes being given off, but didn't bother to question it as nobody else did.

"We think we know more about Elfen's plans. It took some doing, but we managed to find a way to revisit his past. You may want to sit down for this."

Chris looked concerned, as they all took a seat. Eric hesitated before he began to use his magic. He began to levitate into the air, as he waved his hands and opened another viewing portal, like before when he explained the crystals. The room went dark as all the curtains at the windows closed shut. The portal being opened began to show a series of vision from millions of years ago throughout space, until it stopped in one galaxy. The sight before them nearly broke the boys as they viewed the horrors presented to them.
