"The volume of mass dictates whether or not the fluid will change to the size of it's container." Mr. Medina droned on. I sighed and started taking notes. I had mid-terms coming up so god help me now.
I forced myself to yawn during lunch. I chewed on the boring tuna salad the cafeteria served. Megan, the mean-girl and the only mean-girl who rode gave me stink eyes over the dining hall. Mr.Rossi had said that I was the most improved over the couple months we had been here. It was now November and mid-terms were in December.
Another show was coming up. Megan continued to glare at me. As soon as October had came, Megan started to torture me at the stable. It seemed, according to Brittnay that Megan had set her eyes on me and was bound to torture me for the year. Sigh. Hopefully, She'd relax her hunting instincts and torture an unlucky freshman. I'd hate to see a poor freshman get bullied but if it meant I could be set free from being tortured, so be it.
The day was finished and I was in my dorm. I sat down to do some math before my lesson. I was absolutely in love with my new navy blue elastic pull on breeches. After a couple minutes, I left for the stable. I subconsciously tackled up Elle. Megan walked by and said gleefully "What's your horses' breed? A mutt? It doesn't even look like a horse!" I shook my head and ignored her as she tacked up her prize thoroughbred stallion Aristocracy in the lead, or Aristocrat. She joined the advanced team, replacing Brandon after he got expelled.
I finished tacking Elle up and lead her into the indoor arena because it was raining heavily. The lesson went by quickly with the exception of Alyssa getting bucked off. Her horse got spooked by Aristocrat.
My birthday was coming up soon. It's actually tomorrow. My parents will send out my gift, along with a care-package for Brittnay and I. I wonder what I'll get. Mr.Rossi allowed us to use the indoor arena to throw a party. Once I got back to my dorm, Brittnay was sitting on her bed, painting her nails. "Hey! After I'm finished do you want to study for mid-terms together?" She asked cheerfully, picking out a bottle of pink sparkles. "Sure! I'll go get some snacks and drinks from the common room!" I said just as cheerfully. Mid-terms mattered a lot. Your marks on each mid-term would be added to you final exam mark and if your marks reached 1200 points or above, you would be able to continue your schooling here. If you didn't reach that mark, you would be put on academic probation. I went to the common room and made some leamonade for both of us. I grabbed some fruit and granola bar. I ordered some pizza for us.
I went back up to the dorm and Brittnay already had highlighters and note packages spewed out across our beds. She smiled and said "The pizza's here. It's in the fridge, until we're ready to eat it. Let's lock the door so nobody can bug us." I nodded and grabbed a pink whiteboard marked. Before I looked our door, I wrote pink bubble letters on our white board outside saying "Brittnay and Eleanor are studying for mid-terms!"
I locked the door and Brittnay and I settled down on our beds to to study.
