Gabriel sat quietly in the small cage listening to Asmodeus talk to some lower level demon he tried to keep his breath steady which was becoming more and more difficult as their conversation reached an end. Asmodeus slowly walked towards the cage, Gabe pushed himself as far back in the cage as he could.
“You thought it was real, you’re not back in the world, you’re still here with me. You’re never leaving this place. No one’s going to save you. No one cares about you.” Gabriel shut his eyes and tried to think clearly but he couldn't, his mind was fogged with Asmodeus’ voice constantly talking. Before a new voice slowly began to become clear.
“Gabriel, wake up.. Gabe!... WAKE UP!”
Gabriel sat up quickly, almost hitting Sam.
“Jeez, Gabriel, calm down..” Sam talked calmly. Gabe looked around and then focused on Sam who was concerned and confused. Gabriel sighed and calmed down his breathing.
“What happened?” Sam asked. Gabe noticed it wasn’t dark out anymore but it wasn’t exactly day either,
“I- It was just a bad dream..” Sam sighed,
“It’s still pretty early, try and go back to sleep.” Sam stood up and walked back towards the bed and laid down, Gabe watched Sam before laying down himself and going back to sleep.
It felt like only a minute or two had passed when a loud and annoying beeping sound filled the room and woke up both Sam and Gabriel. Gabe groaned and covered his head with the blanket he was using. Sam clicked the alarm off and got up and grabbed some clothes before walking into the bathroom. Gabe sat up and rubbed his eyes, Jack had luckily remembered to bring Gabriel a bag of things he’d need; clothes, a brush, toothpaste, etc. Gabe wanted to get up and get cleaned up and stuff but Sam was occupying the only bathroom so instead he flopped back down and fell back asleep.
Sam got changed into some regular clothes and fixed his hair. Once he finished he walked back out to see Gabriel was back asleep. Sam rolled his eyes, before walking over to him and shaking him awake.
“If you want to help with this case then you need to be awake..” Sam remarked, sarcastically. Gabe slightly opened his eyes and gave a half-hearted and weak smile to Sam’s remark. Gabriel sat up and yawned, his hair was messy and a little poofy. Sam smiled and chuckled a bit.
“What?” Gabriel asked, confused.
“Nothing..” Sam replied, standing up then walking away to his bag and began packing his things. Gabe ran his hand through his hair noticing how messy it was and standing up, walking over to the bag Jack left him and grabbing some clothes and stuff.

Once Gabriel had finished changing and took care of himself, he and Sam got into the rusty, blue car and began to the cabin in which Sam had found the vamps.
"This nest we're hunting has been around since the 1920's at least. They settled down a bit in recent years only killing two or three people, but then in the past month alone, they've killed fifteen people. Most were just people no one would miss, but then they got sloppy, probably got too hungry and killed Kendya Smith without thinking. Kendya's mother told me that she volunteered at Crescent Creek Park, where all the other bodies were found. So I went to the wooded areas of the park and found an old cabin out there."
Sam spoke while keeping his eyes on the road.
"Ok, but how do you know that they're the vampires?" Gabriel asked, keeping his eyes on Sam.
"Well normally humans don't have one of the missing people being dragged into a cabin whilst covered in blood." Sam replied, sarcastically. Gabe nodded and began to look out the passenger window. A couple seconds went by when Sam looked over to him and then back on the road,
"Gabriel, are you ok?" Sam asked. Gabe perked his head up and looked at Sam,
"Why wouldn't I be?" Gabe asked.
"What happened last night?" Sam asked in response.
"Wow, never thought I'd hear that question from you.." Gabe joked to avoid the question. Sam gave a quick bitchface to Gabe before looking back to the road.
"Seriously, I woke up to you freaking out about something." Sam continued.
"Like I said last night, it was just a bad dream. Don't worry about it." Gabriel replied.
"Ok, what if I'm asking out of curiosity?" Sam countered. Gabe looked back outside the window,
"Well, don't. Curiosity killed the cat."
Sam glanced over to Gabe and then back to the road,
"Fine." Gabe looked back at Sam who didn't take his eyes off the road.

A minute or two went by when they pulled up to the park.
"Gabriel," Sam said to get Gabe's attention, "Do you know how to shoot a gun?"
"Yeah, it can't be that hard." Gabe replied.
"Have you ever shot a gun?" Sam asked. Gabriel paused for a moment,
"...No." Sam sighed,
"Ok, then.. When we get there, I'm going to shoot a vampire with a bullet dipped in Dead Man's Blood, then you go in and cut its head off." Sam was about to continue when Gabe spoke up,
"So, you use the ranged weapon and send the, as Amara put it, 'Chaotic Dumbass Who's Bound to Screw Something Up,' to cut the vampires' heads off?" At first Sam thought Gabriel was pointing out how something could happen before Gabe added,
"Hells yeah!" With a goofy but adorable, and very contagiousness, smile. Sam smirked back, holding back the urge to give a big smile at seemingly nothing. Before opening the door and stepping out. No one was at the park because it was still a crime scene, so Sam and Gabe wouldn't have to wait till night to kill the vampires. Sam handed Gabe a machete out of the trunk of the rusty truck and then grabbed his gun and loaded it with bullets. The trunk shut with a satisfying creak, followed by a slam!

Sam and Gabriel quietly walked through the woods before reaching the house. Everything was a bit awkward since the conversation in the car, the silence only being broken by questions about the case and the other's ability to do something. They sat and waited for a couple of minutes waiting to see any movements in the house before silently as possible walking to the door and picking the lock. Quietly, Sam opened the door to the old cabin and quickly counted the vamps in the building who seemed to be sleeping. After thinking about something for a quick second he turned to face his side which Gabriel hadn't realized he was standing a bit closer to Sam than he had thought. Sam and Gabriel's faces were only centimeters apart. Once they realized this they both quickly, but carefully, backed up.
"Sorry, Sam." Gabe said quietly.
"It's fine.." Sam began, neither had noticed the other was as red as a tomato after this. Sam continued,
"There's more inside, not much looks to be fourteen. Nothing we can't handle, so I'll run in and shoot as many as possible then after the first shot count to fifteen, the blood will have set by then and you can run in and finish them. Make sense?"
"Yeah, I got it." Gabe said, wrapping his fingers tighter around the machete's handle. Opened the door enough to easily get through, and quietly ran inside.
