"Ugh, out of everywhere we could've gone you chose here?" Gabe complained.
"Yes, if you're going to be around for a while then you have to make yourself useful and you could help out on hunts. But you need to know how to shoot a gun." Sam replied, opening the door to a shooting gallery.
"Hello! I'm Lance, but everyone calls me Lace, how are you doing today?" A nice young woman greeted the two at the door, she had light skin dark blue hair in nice curls and dark grey eyes. She had on a nice blue shirt and jeans, a gold ring on her ring finger and a name tag, "Lance."
"We're doing good, I'm Sam, this is Gabriel." Sam introduced them.
"Awesome, you and your boyfriend shoot together often?" Lace asked.
Sam felt himself turn a little red,
"Uh, yeah today's our anniversary, we're actually married." Sam grabbed Gabe's hand, as Gabe's face turned really red and he felt his heart skip a beat.
"Aww, how sweet! Here just take these papers and then I'll need to see your guys' license after." Lace handed Sam and Gabe some papers attached to clipboards.
"Thank you." Sam said, grabbing the clipboards and sitting down next to Gabe.
"Dude! What was that?" Gabe asked quietly.
"I forgot that on the fake license I made you I put down 'Winchester' as the last name.. So, I just bullshited my way through that." Sam said, putting his head in hands and speaking quietly.
"You could've said we were brothers!" Gabe protested, before going into his thoughts.
Gabriel Winchester.. It's got a ring to it… Wait, no! No, no, no, no, no! You are not falling for Sam Winchester! No! Hopefully…
Sam wrote down his information and looked over to Gabe's papers. His handwriting was surprisingly neat like he actually cared about how it looked.
He discarded that thought when Gabe looked over to him.
"Finished." He said, smiling.
"Good, here's your license." Sam handed him a fake license.
"Remember she thinks we're married so try not to freak out if she mentions something like that or I do something to sell it, alright?" Sam stated.
"Yeah, since you got us into that.." Gabe grumbled. Sam smiled and stood up, Gabe followed.
Sam, again, grabbed Gabe's hand this time Gabe had half expected it but still made him nervous.
Sam handed the clipboards to Lace and then they both showed her their license.
"Ok! Then you two are all good, my friend Craig will lead you through that door there and take you to load some guns." Lace said sweetly.
"Thanks," Sam said before looking at Gabe, "Come on, honey, you can't stand here too long." He gave a quick kiss to Gabe on the forehead before heading back to the door Lace had pointed out, leaving Gabe behind, without realizing, with Lace.
"He seems like a tease." She joked. Gabe forced himself out of his shocked and flustered state to talk to Lace.
"Yeah, he's my hero though… Even if he doesn't realize it.." He said.
"Really? How so?" Lace asked.
"Family drama, when we first met my dad was nowhere to be found and two of my brothers wanted to kill each other.. When I met him, he hated me at first but eventually, he was the reason I got out of a really bad place. He basically restored a part of me that was taken so long ago…" Gabe tried to explain, he wasn't entirely lying either. Sam was who Ketch brought him too and he helped him through that.
"Aww, that's so cute! … Ya know, my grandmother gave me some advice once when me and my wife first got married and started living together. And you two seem to be a fairly new couple. So, don't worry about him giving up on you or something like that, if he loves you and you love him, that feeling when your heart jumps every time he touches you or sinks every time he's sad, that's true love. He seems to really love you, and I'm not just saying that because you're married, or he kissed you, or he held your hand. I could see it in his eyes when he looked at you." Lace said. Gabe looked at the ground and thought about everything she just said,
Does he? He has a girlfriend.. He's just really good at lying, he doesn't feel that way towards me..
"Yeah, I love him too.." Gabe said, looking over to Sam who was waiting for him.
"Thanks, Lace." He said, walking over to Sam, Lace nodded and went back to work.
"What took you so long?" Sam asked.
"Lace was talking to me." He replied. Sam nodded.
"Ok you two, just right in here." Craig said, opening the door and letting them inside.
