Gabe didn't have a nightmare this time.. It was peaceful, when he woke up he was leaning against the passenger door, covered in a soft, gray blanket and the car was moving. Sam was still in the driver's seat. Gabe moved and sat up and stretched the best he could in the cramped car. Sam noticed the movement and glanced over only for a second before looking back to the road.
"Finally decide to wake up?" Sam teased. Gabe rubbed his eyes,
"Where are we and what time is it?" He asked groggily.
"Middle of Colorado, or close to it. We stopped in Wyoming, and then I woke up about four hours ago. So we haven't been driving long." Sam answered, keeping his eyes on the road. Gabe nodded.
"You want to get some food?" Sam asked.
"Yeah." Gabe said, a bit more awake.
"There's a gas station not far from here, they should have some food there, you can turn the radio on if you want." Sam replied. Gabe nodded and turned the radio on. Sam was meant with a far too familiar sound and caused him to hit the brakes. Gabriel, who didn't have a seatbelt on, thankfully put his hands out in front of him and didn't slam face-first into the dash. As the car came to a hard stop.
"What the fuck?! Sam!" Gabe shouted, more freaked out than anything. Sam clicked the radio off and looked at Gabriel who was slightly shaking.
"Sorry.." Sam said quietly, putting his head on the wheel.
"Are you ok?" Gabriel asks, "What happened?" Sam looked over to him.
"The song that was playing-" Sam began.
"The song?" Gabe thought for a second, before the realization hit.
"From when I put you through the hundreds of Tuesdays?" Sam put his head back on the wheel. Gabe puts his seatbelt on,
"You know that song was my way of apologizing for that right?" Sam, again, looks over to Gabriel, confused.
"Did you even bother to listen to the lyrics?" Sam slightly shook his head.
"'I never meant to be so bad to you…'" Gabe quoted.
"I didn't know.." Sam stated. Gabe smiled a bit and shook his head.
"If I turn the radio back on you're not going to crash the car right?" Gabe asked sarcastically. Sam rolled his eyes,
"No, just not that song." Gabe nodded,
"Fair." He clicked the radio back on and started flipping through the stations until he found one playing 'Talking To The Moon' by Bruno Mars and immediately started singing along, but his voice seemed hushed and like he was trying to keep it somewhat quiet. Sam noticed this but didn't say anything. The entire way to the gas station the radio was playing Bruno Mars' songs and Gabriel was practically having a concert, which Sam found amusing.

Once they got to the Gas-N-Sip, Sam let the rest of the song, 'Grenade,' play out for Gabe and then clicked the radio off.
"Aww.." Gabe hadn't realized they stopped moving and were at the Gas-N-Sip when Sam turned the radio off.
"You can turn it back on once we get food." Sam stated, then got out of the car. Gabriel followed behind humming 'Grenade' while walking into the store. He was about to walk into the candy alise when Sam grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the sandwiches and breakfast pizzas towards the back of the store.
"No, you're human now so you're eating actual food, not candy." Sam stated.
"Why?!" Gabriel asked, offended.
"Because you'll make yourself sick if you eat just candy." Sam replied. Gabe sighed over dramatically and put the back of his hand on his forehead and leaned backwards. Sam laughed at him.
Why is even his laugh cute?! Oh my dad, this man is going to kill me!
Gabe thought to himself while watching Sam laugh.

After Sam and Gabe got their food, Sam had to make sure Gabe got food and not candy but Gabe eventually convinced Sam to let him get candy for after his food. He got the sour gay strips. Obviously. Once they got back to the car Gabe immediately went to eat the candy first before Sam yanked it from his hands.
"Nope, you and I agreed you could have this after you eat regular food." He stated.
"Hey! You actually believed that? Now give it!" Gabe replied. He began to reach for the candy which was pulled out of reach.
"No, Gabe-" Sam began to protest when Gabe was then on top of him reaching for the candy held away from him in an awkward position. Sam turned red and Gabe got the candy.
"Ha!" He exclaimed, and then looked down Sam was only inches away from him. Gabe backed up and looked out of his window to hide his blush.
"Sorry!" He said quickly.
You are an idiot! What the hell was that?! Why did I do that? Oh my dad!
Gabe thought. Sam cleared his throat,
"Yeah, it's fine, don't worry about it."
It was silent for a minute but it felt like an hour.
"Uhm, Gabe, if you want to turn the radio back on you can." Sam broke the silence and moved in his seat and put his seatbelt on.
"Yeah, thanks." Gabe said, turning the radio on and putting his seatbelt on as well. He ate food first then the candy while a few songs he didn't know played. Sam thought to himself while he ate and drove.
That was weird. He didn't mean to but it was… weird. At least he ate food first instead of candy, so I guess that's a win.
Sam was interrupted from his thoughts when his phone rang. He glanced over to it when it read 'Eileen.' He pulled over,
"Gabe, I need to take this real quick." Sam stated. Gabe nodded and clicked the radio off. Sam answered the phone and sat his phone up to sign to Eileen.
They spoke mainly in sign,
"Hey, Eileen."
"Sam, where are you?"
"Colorado, I'll probably be there sometime late tonight."
"What's taking so long?"
"I was in Gig Harbor, Washington. It's going to take a while not to mention breaks and one of the roads is out so I had to go around."
"Just get here, ok?"
"I'm trying, I love you. Bye."
"Try harder. Bye, Sam."
The call ended. Sam felt his heart sink when Eileen abruptly ended the call without saying 'I love you' back.
It's fine, she doesn't have to say it back.
Gabe noticed the mood change in Sam, he didn't know exactly what the signs meant, but he knew Sam was upset about something.
"What's wrong?" Gabe asked, concerned.
"Don't worry about it, it's dumb anyway." Sam replied.
"So? If you're upset about something then it's something, dumb or otherwise." Gabriel stated. Sam looked over to him,
"That's actually a lot more mature than I thought you to be."
"Is that a compliment?" Gabe asked.
"Sure." Sam said.
"Thanks, but seriously, what's wrong?" Gabe asked, again.
"If I tell you, you have to tell me about your nightmares." Sam stated, thinking it would make Gabe drop the conversation. Instead, he groaned,
"Fine. You first, though." Sam was honestly surprised,
"You're going to open up about something probably way more serious than what I'm upset about just for me to tell you what's wrong?" Sam asked.
"And?" Gabe replied. Sam shook his head,
"Ok, fine." Sam answered.
"But we should drive or we really aren't going to be in Lawrence by tomorrow." Gabe stated.
"Yeah." Sam said. He began to get back on the road.
"Me and Eileen have been together for a while and I really like her, but I feel like she's growing distant. I'll say 'I love you,' to her and she just ignores it or says it back like she doesn't mean it.. I'm just worried this relationship will turn out like the rest. Ending in flames, literary or figuratively." Sam confessed.
"See? It's dumb-" Sam began.
"It's not dumb," Gabe interrupted, "It's sweet, actually. You care about her and you don't want to lose her from growing too distant. It's nice." Sam looked over to Gabe and smiled before looking back to the road.
"Thanks.. Now about your nightmares." Sam stated. Gabe sighed,
"Fine, if you want to know then I'll tell you. None of this bothered me too much when I still had my grace, I mean it bothered me. But it didn't feel terrible like this. My nightmares were just two things, Asmodesus and someone else. You don't know her, her name was Nora. She wasn't the nicest person in the world, we dated, for like two years? I don't remember but it was really shitty. Enough for nightmares about her, so that's great." Gabriel's voice was becoming shaky and he was fidgeting the entire time he spoke, even had to blink back tears when he said Nora's name. Sam looked at him,
"Hey, you don't have to keep talking about it if you don't feel comfortable, ok?" He spoke softly. Gabe gave him a soft, half-hearted smile.
"Thanks.." Gabe stated.
"I know it's none of my business to say this but, Nora? Right?" Sam asked, Gabe nodded and Sam continued.
"Even though you can be a bit much sometimes, she lost a good guy."
"You don't have to say that to make me feel better, Sam." Gabe replied.
"I'm not. Seriously, yeah I won't forget everything you did, and honestly I don't even know if I forgive you but, you deserve someone who loves you as much as you love them. You're a good guy." Sam stated. Gabe felt his heart skip as Sam spoke.
"You think too highly of me, Sammich." Gabe said, jokingly.
"Sammich?" Sam repeated.
"That's a new one."
"I have more." Gabriel snickered.
"Of course you do." Sam smiled,
"Also, it's 'Sam.'"

"So, Gabriel is alive?" Castiel asked.
"Yep.." Dean said, not too enthusiastically.
"Don't be too hard on him, Dean. Sam seems to enjoy his company." Cas stated.
"Really?" Dean asked, annoyed.
"Yes and Gabriel absolutely adores Sam." Castiel spoke while he and Dean laid in bed together looking for a movie to watch.
"Yeah, whatever, as long as he keeps his hands away from my little brother and doesn't hurt him or you, then I guess he's fine…" Dean stated. Cas smiled and gave Dean a quick kiss on the check. Eventually, they decided to watch ‘Lights Out.’ After which, Cas opted to keep as many lights on as possible and Dean agreed.

(I 1000% didn't almost forget to post today, nope not at all. I don't know if I'll be able to get the next chapter out next Sunday, of course I'll try. I've just been having a bit of writer's block and been distracted but if I don't get it out next Sunday then I'll try to get it out asap after that. If I do get it out, however, it might just be a really short chapter. Anyway, byebye!♡♡)
