Gabriel hadn't paid any attention to it being stuck in his own thoughts until Sam hung up and put his head on the steering wheel. Gabe looked over to Sam,
"Is everything ok?" He asked.
"You know how I told you Dean wasn't doing too well, and since Cas was back I was going to let them have some time together?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, and then you forced me to go here and learn to shoot." Gabe replied, he was waiting for a classic Sam bitchface but instead got nothing.
"Well, Eileen wants me to be back by tomorrow for our anniversary, which because I was trying to make sure Dean was ok, I completely forgot about." Sam replied.
"And you told her that, and she still wants you home tomorrow even though we would also have to drive all of today and tonight and still not make it till the day after tomorrow?" Gabe asked.
"Yep, pretty much…" Sam sighed.
"Well, we can try to get there by tomorrow, but probably not going to happen.." Gabe stated.
"Yeah.." Sam replied before pulling out of the parking lot and driving back to the motel.

Dean's looked over to his ringing phone and picked it up, answering,
"Hey, Sammy." Dean was in a much better mood since Cas was back.
"I heard Cas is back." Sam replied.
"Oh, shit! Sam I was going to tell you we just-" Dean began.
"It's fine, Dean, I know you two needed to be alone for a bit.. I was going to stay in Gig Harbor all week but Eileen wants me back by tomorrow." Sam interrupted.
"What? But it's already almost noon in Washington, and it would still take over a day to get here. You wouldn't make it back til the day after tomorrow."
"I know, we're going to try anyway." Sam replied, putting his bags in the backseat.
"'We?'" Dean asked.
"Yeah, that wasn't the only reason I called you, Gabriel's back. Jack said that he and Amara were working on something and Jack asked if Gabe could stay with us."
"And you said, 'yes?'"
"Dean, he helped us, we owe him one."
Dean sighed,
"I still don't get along with him, but fine, he can stay."
"Thank you, so how have you been?"
"A lot better, I'm not drunk or moping in my room any more and I ate food today, given I almost threw it back up but hey, it's a start.. My boyfriend really helped me.." Dean smiled as Cas walked into the room.
"Boyfriend?... You mean Castiel is your- Dean! That's great!" Sam said excitedly into the phone.
"So you're cool with me being bi?"
"Dean, you're my brother, of course I'm fine with that!"
"Thanks, Sammy."
"It's Sam, Sammy is-"
"- The name of a chubby twelve year old. Yeah, I know."
"We have to go, bye, Dean."
"Bye, Sam."
Sam clicked his phone off and went around the car to the driver's side and got in, Gabe was already in the car. As they drove Sam and Gabe talked about Dean and Cas and other things.

It was midnight and they were still driving after having to make a few stops for food and bathroom breaks. Gabriel started to feel sleep creeping in but fought it for the most part.
"Gabe, if you're tired then just go to sleep." Sam spoke up.
"No, because I'm not tired.." Gabe protested.
"You can barely keep your head up." Sam replied.
Gabe grumbled and fought sleep for a few more minutes before falling asleep with his head down. Sam looked over to him for a moment and thought about what he was going to say when he woke up and his neck was hurting. After a couple of curves he felt something on his shoulder. Gabe hadn't had his seatbelt on and the last few curves slowly caused him to scoot over to Sam and had rested his head on Sam's shoulder. Sam smiled at him, he looked so peaceful, completely different from when he was waking Gabe up from his nightmares. He was even.. kind of cute. Sam thought to himself.
Should I even be thinking about that? I mean, yes, he looks adorable, but he's just a friend… Plus I have Eileen. No, I should definitely not be thinking that.

Sam drove for a while, not moving Gabriel before he was barely staying awake himself. He sighed, and pulled over to the side of the road. He turned the car off and reached to the backseat the best he could and eventually was able to grab a blanket without waking Gabe up. He pulled the large, gray blanket over the two of them and finally fell asleep.
