Anyone still here waiting for the sequel? Well, then I've got good news. I finally started writing. Unfortunately it does not mean for you, that I will be able to update soon. Most likely the first chapter will be available end of June / early July.

Still, there's this little teaser I want to share with you:

First part of chapter 1

Damn. Who would have thought that the watchdogs of a businessman would be this tenacious? I rushed along the long hallway, barely slowed down at the end, and catapulted around the bend. A ripping sound resonated in the corridor. This darn wedding dress wasn't exactly made for running, either. I had thrown away the shoes right at the beginning of my escape. The thick hotel carpets muffled my steps. Those of my pursuers nonetheless echoed in the basement. All the better for me. I stopped in front of the lift used by the servants. In a luxury hotel like this one, cleaning staff were forbidden to make contact with guests. For that reason, there was a separate stairwell and a heavy-duty elevator for them, which was used to remove furniture from the upper floors, some of it damaged, in case a rock star had gone crazy in his suite during a binge. Perfect for my plan. Except that I did not want to bring anything down, but up. Myself.

The lift door slid to the side, clearing the way for me. I rushed in, randomly pressing a button that would take the elevator up. It would take some time until the excitement died down. Once again, a bride fleeing her wedding. I grinned broadly.

The annoying dress landed at my feet, the blond wig as well. I tugged a house uniform out of the cleaning cart, slipped hastily into it. I did not have time to waste. True, the groom's security guards would wait to see which floor my elevator stopped at, and then rush off to find me. But they would completely tear the area apart. I now understood why the actual bride had called for my help. She would never have escaped alone. One of my friends was driving her to the airport at that moment, so she could go into hiding in another state. Once again, a satisfied customer. My chest swelled with pride. She was not the first and certainly not the last.

"Where did I leave that darn wig?" I rummaged through a pile ofincredibly soft towels that smelled like spring. Maybe I should take some ofthem with me when the mission was over. I was certain the rest of the teamwould not mind. I got hold of a few black strands that lay like long spiderlegs on the terrycloth. I quickly put on the wig and fumbled down mychin-length brown hair, which was pressed against my skull in a hairnet. A softping sounded; the elevator door slid open. I quickly gathered up the oldclothes, stepped out into the hallway and pulled the cleaning cart along behindme. Laughing maliciously, I threw the wedding dress and the blond hair into thegarbage chute. Attentively I looked around. I was still alone here, but thatwould change sooner than I preferred. I hurried toward a room door to act as amaid. With any luck, no one was present. Even if there was, the rich ignoredordinary people like me if they were not busy insulting us. I had learned thislesson early in my life. I swallowed the bitter taste that gathered in mymouth. No time for sentimentality. I had a job to fulfill.

Guess we got here a woman who enjoys trouble. Let's see for how long. I have got the power to ruin her life. 😈

Or maybe Raffaele will do that for me. Any idea who he is? 😏

I hope this small teaser will ease the waiting for the sequel. Do not worry, I did not forget that I promised one. Family, job and the stories in my native language got a bit in the way for some time. See ya in a couple of weeks in my new book.
