It's been a month since Mac woke up from her coma. In a few weeks time will be my twins' birthdays as well as mine. I want to marry Mac. I knew I have always wanted to make her my wife. Everyone here is helping me organize it the day of our birthday. I know what happened to being engaged?
Who's traditional?
How will you know she won't say no?
It's Mac we're talking about here.
Bear has already given his approval to marry her. All the woman here are going to decorate the backyard to the clubhouse. I have already gotten our rings. I only knew which one to get because Tinsley tricked her into looking at wedding rings the other day at the store.
Flashback:
The girls left thirty minutes before us. This day has been a group effort. Tinsley has watch Mac closely as she looks over each ring. Tins knew when Mac sat her eyes on this one wedding set, it was the one. Mac had been staring at this set for five minutes, she knew Mac fell in love with a certain Vintage Marquise blue diamond wedding set. So, when Tinsley saw her leave the case to look at others in a case across the room.... The sly devil snaps a picture of it and sends it to me. Brilliant girl I might add. Tinsley send me another text saying they arrived at the Gucci store.
Why the hell Tinsley picked Gucci to walk into is beyond my brain cells.
I walk in the store with Kaiser and Bear. I drop the 20 grand on the counter and tell the sales lady I need that damn ring. Kaiser tucks it into his pocket and we all walk out and head five stores down.... In to the bloody Gucci store. I spot my girl looking uncomfortable next to Tinsley who looks to be questioning why she picked this one.
"Hey babe!" I called out to her.
"Did you find anything you wanted in here?" I ask her.
"Hell no. Get me the fuck out of here. Wait why are you three
here?" Mac says with her sassiness."Kaiser, Bear, I need to go to a store at the other side of the mall. Why the fuck are you in here? Of all places." I respond.
"We're just leaving now." Tinsley says while dragging Mac out of this place. They left all three of us standing like misfits in the middle of this store.
I watch as Tinsley pulls her into Nordstrom. Tinsley texts Kaiser an hour later with a picture of the dress Mac had spotted. Kaiser heads over and comes back fifteen minutes later with her dress. I definitely didn't look to see what she had eyeballed. It is bad luck to see the dress and the bride before you say I do after all. We watch from afar as Mac buys herself some vans. Tinsley being a sly devil has snuck in a pair of converses behind Mac's back. They walk out and Tinsley sits her bag down at the small fake tree. Once they are out of sight, Bear takes off to grab the bag. As Bear makes it back to us, my phone rings.
"Hello?"
"Mr. Creed?"
"Yes?"
"Your leather jacket has been customized. You can come pick it up now."
"Thank you."
I nod my head towards the guys and we run through the mall to pick up the jacket. The jacket had already been paid for, we just need to grab it and run back through the mall. We need to make it back to the clubhouse before the girls do.
Surprisingly, Tinsley drove slower than normal because we made it back to the clubhouse with thirty minutes to spare. Kaiser takes all of the things we bought today and places them in his office. Mac rarely goes into his office. So they'll be safe and unnoticed there.
Flashback Ends:
Our parents are doing a cookout again tonight. Eve and Blade are running around the yard while our dads are grilling. Music starts to play and I walk to Mac and grab her hand. I lead her to the middle of the yard and begin to slow dance with my girl.
"You know one of these days your last name will change right?" I whisper.
"What?" She questions.
"One day your last name will be Creed instead of Archer." I tell her. Her face turns a shade of pink and all I could do is chuckle at her. She stands on her tippy toes and kisses me softly. It happened to be perfect under the stars.
Until someone had to ruin it.
"That's how you guys had those two!" Dylan and Dawson scream out.
"I don't think I can handle another Blade or Everleigh just yet!" Kaiser yells from across the yard. Mac buries her head into my chest and all I can do is laugh.
When the music becomes a fast beat song Tinsley, Kenna, and Rylee swiftly take Mac away. I walk back to the tables and sit next to Kaiser. Kaiser is watching Tinsley like a hawk. You can tell he is falling for this girl. But, he keeps holding himself back.
"You know you should at least give it a try?" I say to my best friend. Kaiser snaps his head and looks back at me.
"Huh?" Kaiser says. I turn my head back towards Tinsley, who's shaking her ass all over Kenna.
"You should take a leap of faith before it's too late." I answer with honesty. He follows my line of sight but doesn't speak.
"She isn't anything like Clarissa ya know? She didn't tell you her past willingly unlike you. But, she truly cares deeply for you. You can't wait forever Kaiser. You're just hurting yourself in the end. I would know." I continue to explain myself. He still doesn't utter a word. I nudge his shoulder and walk off. Hoping to get his brain cells moving again.
Come on Kai you got to have a little faith brother. That girl is definitely your other half. I just wish he'd open his eyes sooner rather than later.
I would know this. I almost lost the one I have loved for years by doing what he's currently doing. If he doesn't take that leap of faith; he will never get the ending he wants. I just wish he would look at my lesson I learned so he doesn't make the same mistake. He deserves happiness and his happiness is that colorful haired girl that's dancing around. He will see sooner or later that she's his oxygen he needs to survive. She's the one who will be by his side through thick and thin. But how he's acting, he'll end up in the dark abyss, drowning with no help out. If only he could see what we all see.
