This fanfiction takes place in the world of Strangereal and combines elements from both Ace Combat and Project Wingman into a single shared universe. The story begins during the events of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, following Trigger, the OADF, and various pilots caught in the chaos of the Lighthouse War. However, in this version of Strangereal, the characters, squadrons, and lore from Project Wingman have always existed alongside the world of Ace Combat, changing the course of history and the people involved in it. While the story starts during Ace Combat 7, it is intended to expand far beyond the original game's timeline, exploring future conflicts, original wars, and alternate interpretations of later events such as Ace Combat 8 and even the distant era of Ace Combat 3. As technology advances and new powers rise, the skies of Strangereal enter a new age of warfare shaped by legendary aces, mercenary pilots, and conflicts that threaten the entire world. This is not a multiverse crossover, but an alternate version of Strangereal where both Ace Combat and Project Wingman exist together naturally as part of the same history. Stick with Trigger, and you will make it. This fanfiction will use realistic military terminology, abbreviations, and communication styles inspired by Ace Combat and modern air combat doctrine. Expect the use of callsigns, squadron designations, mission codes, and brief radio-style dialogue.
