just met up w the label to discuss dropping an ep and i think they were down they didnt give me a clear answer but they said they'll look into it 😁

"so they said you gotta do what?" montero asked getting in the passenger seat of ki'eli's car while she waved her manager off.
"i gotta think of a pr stunt, or just something to really get the promo for it."
she started the car connecting her phone's bluetooth to the car. she started searching through her music playlist looking for songs to play,
her lips poked to the side still searching, "play second chances right quick, is that going on your ep?"
ki'eli nodded and let out a hum and typed her song into the search bar. it quickly popped up and she clicked on it letting it play.
montero bobbed his head to the beat as she pulled out the parking lot, "it's literally done, i don't know what else they want me to do.. like what kind of pr stunt are they looking for," she begin.
he paused and looked down at his phone which had lit up. "you know they still iffy with you dropping shit, didnt it take them like two months of convincing to drop this?"
ki'eli sighed softly pulling up to a red light, her fingers drumming on the wheel.
she knew her friends had been trying to convince her to leave that label and go to a new one, especially considering that once everything came out, one of the members had sided with jack publicly.
"if this ep goes big ki'eli, tell your manager to look into bigger record companies. you like need to go big bro, this stupid ass label you with not doing shit for you."
what he was saying was true but she knew she still had to first get the ep out.
under her labels conditions she didnt know how to, with her career plummeting she really had no way to make a big pr stunt for her ep to blow up.
the song came to an end and shortly the car filled with silence.
that was until montero had cleared his throat grabbing her attention,
"when i first heard second chances, something ain't feel right-" he stopped as she sent him a look of confusion before bringing her eyes back to the road,
"as in it was missing something, like a feature." now she had been more confused considering the two came to an agreement their forms of music had clashed terribly.
she pulled up to another red light cursing at it for catching her.
"okay, a feature, how the fuck ima convince them to let you.. or anybody for that matter on the song?"
montero shrugged pulling down his mirror and looking at himself.
"you right," he leaned over turning the radio on. a calm beat flowed through their ears along with a voice.
her attention turned to the radio to see who it was reading the title luv is dro and an exchange of looks had instantly been shared between the two.
she shook her head slowly knowing he was about to say something out of line.
"ki'eli, thats your fuckin publicity stunt right there."
"nigga what? no." "yo label fuck wit him right?" she put her head on the wheel groaning loudly just soon before she slipped and her forehead pressed on the horn, scaring them both.
"look what you did bro," she said shoving him as bryson's voice filled the air.
he sucked on his teeth as she started to drive again once the light turned green.
"you get that nigga on second chances, and you gon be the new jhene and big sean." her brows furrowed being taken aback, but it wasn't a bad idea.
her eyes rolled and another groan erupted from her throat as jack's voice had been heard. she licked her front teeth slowly in thought before she finally said,
"fine.. but we are not being the next jhene and big sean, bitch."
