3rd Person POV

Code was terrifying.

Everything about that lady was terrifying.

The way she walked near them.

The way her two main eyes stared them in insane horror.

The way a crooked smile formed on her lips

Everything.

Gun held onto my machete, taking a deep breath to keep calm. Code raised her hand, dark magic swirling behind her. The black clouds she made formed into spears. "I'll give you one more chance. But let's make it a bit more fun. We'll play a game of cards. If I beat you, I take your souls, and you become one of my Scouts. If you win, I'll leave your souls alone. But don't think I'll be leaving you or the Megaverse alone if you win." She said, smiling in a sick sort of way.

Bebe smirked a bit, "Easy-peasy. Deal." She said. Gun snapped her head to Bebe, "Are you insane!?" The wolf girl scolded through gritted teeth. "Have you even ever played cards?" Code asked, smirking and chuckling. Bebe rolled her eyes, "Duh." She sneered. Code seemed to take offense from the disrespect.

How dare this child act like she was superior to her? How dare this child have this confidence. It was disgusting to the witch. She'd make her pay. If not first-hand, then it would have to be suffered through vicariously. Gun looked nervous, "W-well, I don't know how to play cards, s-so-" Code cut her off. "The rules are simple, but this isn't like any card game you know." She said, lowering the spears.

She summoned a table, a deck of cards in the middle. "The rules are ever so simple." Code said. There are two cards with an angel on it. They represent each of your souls. The rest of them have demons on them. If you get the angel card, you keep your soul. If I get the angel card, your soul is trapped in it, and I take it." She said, smiling grimly. Gun whimpered, her wolf ears tucking down. Code summoned chairs and sat down in on. "We take turns drawing cards." She said.

"How do we know you won't cheat?" Bebe asked, sitting down. She seemed more concerned with the fairness of the game than actually losing her soul. Code's sadistic expression changed into one of sincerity. "Bebe Callie Sarla. I am many things. A sadist. A witch. A freak. A monster. A ruler. But one thing I am not, is a liar. A manipulator, sure. But not a liar." She said, her voice dripping with honestly. Code leaned forward, making Bebe slip down in her chair.

"I get others to lie for me."
