Marinette ran down the dark hallways like a crazed woman. Tears stained her cheeks, and fresh cuts filled her soft skin. Dirt littered her skin, making the tear stains more defined. Heavy pedes echoed behind her, her breath labored as her legs burned with the marathon run, adrenaline becoming her friend in these moments. How did all of this happen, you ask? Well, it started on a fateful day.
Marinette lived a happy life in Paris with her mother and father. They all were close and always seemed happy, but something strange happened when Marinette and her family went to the forest for a bit of a camping trip. Marinette went into the woods to sketch some animals, maybe get some materials from animals such as loose feathers, cracked horns, etc. She didn't get to see the forest often; Paris was a city, so trees and wildlife were not something you saw every day.
While she was walking, she picked up a few things on the way, little nicknacks here and there. The rustling of dead leaves caught her attention; a deer was eating the grass! She knew she had to sketch it, so she took a picture if the deer had walked too far from camp. Unfortunately, the flash was one, and it startled the deer and ran off. Marinette cursed as the deer ran off, she wanted a more life-like experience in her sketch, but the picture will have to do.
She was looking at the picture up close when she heard the sound of a loud hiss. It wasn't a snake. She looked behind her to find a substantial green portal, she was frightened. She ran behind a boulder to hide, what walked out next terrified her. A robot the size of a small building with red and blue paint stepped out. What was that thing, and why was it there? It walked forward a few steps ahead, not noticing the girl behind the rock. Marinette let out a relieved breath, unfortunately, a little too loud. The bot stopped and looked back at the terrified girl, frozen in her spot. Did it look relieved? It walked forward slowly, not wanting to terrify the girl any longer. Marinette crawled backward slowly and began to breathe heavily. He stopped and kneeled on the ground, his hand laid softly on the ground. He looked to the girl with a softness that made Marinette let her guard down a little. What was he?
"Please, I am not here to harm you. I wish to only help." His voice rumbled through Marinette's body like an echo in a cave. Surprised by the new development, she forgot how to speak for a minute.
"Are you afraid of me?" The giant spoke calmly and took a small scoot back. Marinette blinked as she realized she hadn't spoken. She cleared her throat and stood on the ground, dusting off her bottom and pants from grass and dirt.
Stains littered the wall, smells stung her nose, and cracks were more defined on the cemented walls. It made Marinette want to gag as she looked around as she ran. She was so distracted by fear and disgust that she ran into a dead end. She looked back down at the dark, creepy alleyway.
"I'm sorry, you took me by surprise. W-What are you? What is your name?" The gigantic being smiled, he put his hand on his chest before speaking.
"My name is Optimus Prime. I am an automatic cybertronic being from the planet called Cybertron, but you may call me an Autobot. I wish to explain this furthermore, but not here. It would help if you came with me for me to explain further." The gigantic metal being known as Optimus held his hand out. Marinette was hesitant before walking to him.
For months their relationship grew to be stronger and grew more attached. Marinette felt the love for her Guardian and chose not to speak due to fear of rejection, but little did Marinette know . . . The Prime was already too far gone. Pictures littered the walls and ground of a secret room. An altar of sorts stood in its middle, with Marinette hugging the Prime's helm. An image that he would cherish for years on end. He held the picture in his servo, looking at it like it would disappear. He would watch her from afar, dreaming of the day he could finally be with her. The picture was taken when they were hugging by Miko. Optimus praised Miko in his processor for the taken photo of them together.
