A Worrisome Phone Call

BloodSucker: where are they?

Dadzawa: they would usually be on by now...

RatBear: concerning

BloodSucker: maybe their busy...

RatBear: unlikely 

Dadzawa: they don't have a job and it's too early for school (if they are in school).

BloodSucker: what if I was right and they are a villain?

Dadzawa: -_- 

RatBear: they have stated multiple times that they are not a villain.

Dadzawa: hang on I'm getting some texts from someone else

Messaging Dadzawa

Loki: Aizawa?

Loki: please answer

Loki: I don't know what to do

Dadzawa: whats wrong?

Loki: I-I think it'll be better if I call you.

Loki is calling...

Dadzawa: Loki?

I can hear crying on the over the phone.

Loki: H-He-

The crying grows with that. 

D: What did he do?

L: H-He p-p-pulled-

Loki started gasping for breath. Whatever happened it was bad enough for a panic attack of some kind.

D: Loki, I need you to breathe. Focus on me.

Loki spoke from between the gasps.

L: B-but you n-n-need to k-know-

D: I don't need to know right now, because right now I need you to breath okay? Just follow me alright?

L: O-okay.

D: inhale for 3 seconds, hold it for 4, then exhale for 3. Just keep breathing.

I continue to exaggerate my breathing so they could follow it. After a few minutes they start to calm down more. Taking more and more deep breathes without shaking.

D: Can you tell me where you are?

Now that they're breathing properly, I need to make sure their safe. I start to get my hero costume on.

L: I'm not sure where we are exactly, but I know we're in an alley by Fatgum's agency

D: We? Deku's with you?

L: yes but he's, uh, passed out right now.

D: alright, I'll come get you just stay on the phone.

Finished changing my clothes, I jump out the window and start running on the roof tops to get there.

L: got it, stay on phone.

D: is there anything notable in that alley?

L: someone spray-painted a really cool phoenix and goes by the name of Dabi.

D: do you know what the buildings you're between are?

L: well one's a seafood place but I don't know the other one, sorry.

D: hey don't worry about it, any information is good.

I think I know a seafood place in that area. I'll check by there first then.

L: I'm sorry I'm not good with directions. 

D: it's fine alright. 

D: Hizashi can barely get to work on time he gets so lost.

I hear Loki quietly chuckles about that. Good I need them to make sure they don't fall into another panic attack. 

L: can I ask a question?

D: what is it?

L: why, why are you helping us? You don't have to.

D: I'm a hero, it is my job, but it's not just that. I want to help you because I care.

L: why do you care? I'm just someone you met because of an mistake.

D: that may be how we met but that doesn't mean I can't care for you.

I hear them do a small chuckle again.

L: you really are like our dad.

They muttered something else too but I couldn't make it out.

D: heh, that I am. But if you tell anyone what I said you'll be grounded for the rest of time.

Now I can hear them full on laughing, but I also hear it close to me.

D: I'm almost there.

L: I'm just gonna say please don't freak out.

I look down into the alley their in. 

D: why would I freak out?

L: a few reasons...

I start hopping down using the walls and fire escapes. I hear the phone click off. When I reach the ground this was not the sight I'd thought I'd see. Loki with, who I assume is Deku on their lap, was sitting on the ground between a garbage can and a dumpster, seemly hiding by how they're pressed on the wall behind them, but what shocked me the most would have to be the puddle of blood that was growing beneath them.
