Steve: so let me get this straight, there are undead killer is after us and what we're doing to come back that he is just pretend like everything is normal?
I nodded, even though I still don't like Steve I can understand his confusion about this it took a while for me to get used to playing normal after having my entire world view turned upside down: yeah pretty much don't worry you'll get used to it, just trying to pretend like there isn't a bunch of lunatics trying to kill us
Honestly I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, I mean after everything we've been through being attacked by alien predators being chased around town by a troll/trolls are having to fight some sort Alien species that soul purpose is to kill me and fighting bounty hunters from Rip-off Star Wars. Undead serial killers was A thing I thought I would never have to deal with even after finding out about the supernatural.
Can definitely see why Jim and aja didn't tell any of us even though that was not awesome sauce, but it also it was nice of them because now I'm beginning to think after everything we've done where are we gonna end up when we die are we gonna go to heaven or hell. I mean yes we have killed trolls for the sake of protecting the world but we have no idea what that means in heaven do we still get punished even no it wasn't human or the fact that he was trying to kill us it's just something I don't wanna think about
Eli pulling me out this creepy way of thinking: that sounds easier said than done Toby, how do you guys been able to do this I mean hiding the supernatural and the fact that Jim is well you know who
I give an honest answer: honestly it's kinda easy I mean no one suspects Jim to be you know who because of his disability, essentially it's like we're invisible no one notices us which makes us the perfect people to hide secrets and to listening on other peoples secrets people don't even realise we're here because of Jim it's both a curse and a blessing at the same time
Eli: yeah I guess... And I don't think about it Jim probably the perfect person to have a secret identity to become a superhero no one suspects him because no one technically sees him.... But what are we gonna do about well the evil sheriff from the 90s?
That's actually a really good question, Jim told us how they stopped the curse back in Shadyside how the heck do you kill sheriff goode To end the deal with the devil but now that he's become one of the Undead he supposedly unable to be killed just like his minions
I tell The to Newbys the truth: hopefully I don't think we have a plan just yet, but the good news is we know what they're after the book that gives us at least the opportunity to make a trap
Steve: but didn't like say they were essentially Unkillable, how are we going to stab someone that I can literally not be stopped
Thank you Steve for repeating what I literally just said: okay yes I admit it doesn't look good but we have to have faith Jim will find a way and if not him Blinky. Okay get to class and remember everything is normal there is not a bunch of undead serial killers lurking around town and if you see anyone matching the description that aja gave us call us do not approach them do not try to stop them just run or call us
The two of them nodded understanding, still hard to believe that they figured some of the stuff that we've been trying to hide out. It is impressive it makes me wonder how well we've actually been able to keep this under wraps no to be fair we're teenagers we're not members of the government we can't just cover stuff up so easily
