The story I'm about to tell you is a story that has become very popular in recent times. There have been multiple versions of the story released all over the internet, especially on Youtube. But not what many people know, is that those stories are purely fictional. What I'm about to tell you all is a story I heard from Thomas the Tank Engine himself, when I visited Sodor for the first time.

It happened on July 21st, 2017. My family had decided to take me on a trip to Sodor to celebrate my 20th birthday. I went with my parents, my brother William, my girlfriend Lauren Fisher, and my Aunt Betty and Uncle Rick. I was very excited because I'd only heard about Sodor through the railway series books and the TV series based on them. We left in the mid-morning of July 14th, and it was a long flight. So long that I thought it was gonna last forever. But finally, after eight and a half hours of flying, we arrived in London, England. Mom and Dad told me that we will be going to Sodor tomorrow by train. I asked why, and they said Sodor is in the middle of upgrading the airport in Dryor.

The next day, we arrived at Kings Cross after a hearty breakfast, and there on one of the platforms was a yellow and blue high-speed diesel set. The engines introduced themselves as Pip and Emma, the NWR's high-speed express engines. They can travel all the way from London to Tidmouth in less than 8 hours.

On the ride to Sodor, I was excited to meet all of the engines and thought about all the adventures I would go on. Pip and Emma talked to me through their intercoms, telling me all about the engines and all of their adventures on Sodor. That made me even more excited, and I hope they are kind and welcoming.

After a few hours, Pip and Emma finally crossed the lift bridge and zoomed over to Sodor. I was amazed. I actually saw working steam engines, which I thought were all but extinct. Pip and Emma told me the NWR prides itself on being the only working standard gauge railway that runs on steam power.

When Pip and Emma stopped at Tidmouth, we were immediately greeted by a well-dressed gentleman with a top hat and a Santa Clause belly.

"Welcome, everyone." Said the stout gentleman. "My name is Sir Richard Topham Hatt, the controller of the North Western Railway."

The Fat Controller offered to have us stay in his mansion at Wellsworth. We all accepted and Sir Topham arranged a limo to take us there. I was ecstatic, because I rarely get the chance to ride in a limo. After a few minutes, We finally pulled up at Topham Manor, and our vacation began.

Sir Topham took us on a grand tour of the Island. We saw the local branch lines, the Skarloey Railway, the Arlesdale miniature railway, and the Culdee fell railway. I was especially surprised when I saw the miniature engines because at first, I thought they were toy trains. They all had a good laugh, and the other engines seem to like me.

Before our tour was over, the fat controller took us to Thomas' branch line, which I was excited about. I was finally going to meet the poster boy for the railway series himself. When we arrived at the sheds, Thomas was there in the sheds with his coaches Annie and Clarabel next to him. I was ecstatic. I couldn't believe it was actually happening. The fat controller then spoke.

TFC: Thomas, allow me to introduce you to James Stavola. He and his family had come all the way to America to meet you.

"Hello," Thomas replied with a smile. "It's nice to meet you."

"It's an honor to meet you, too!" I squealed. "I can't believe I get to meet the poster boy of the railway series in person! It's so moving!"

"Saying it's moving is a stretch," William muttered under his breath.
