Great Waterton's Ghost

Great Waterton was an old town situated in the woods north of the Skarloey Railway, and it was Sodors main town and transport hub, thanks in large part to the Sodor and Mainland Railway. The S and M played a huge part in Great Waterton's financial success, bringing goods and passengers to the town from other parts of Sodor and the mainland. But, when the Sodor and Mainland Railway went bankrupt, Great Waterton was abandoned and left to rot.

Nowadays, Great Waterton was completely forgotten. The line leading to the town was completely ripped up, and all records of it were secretly hidden in a hidden room in Topham Manor. Some people became curious about the town and want to explore the place.

One of these people was a young American named James Stavola. He had been a frequent visitor of Sodor, and was well immersed in its history and culture. Although he learned a lot about Sodor, one thing James was curious about is why Great Waterton was abandoned. He asked all the engines about it, and what they told him was common knowledge. This made James even more curious, and he decided to explore the town.

That night, James and his wife Serena were attending a special gala hosted by Sir Robert Norramby, the Earl of Sodor. They had a wonderful time. When James and Serena changed into their pajamas, James then decided to speak up.

James: Hey, Serena? Have you ever heard of Great Waterton?

Serena: No, I haven't. What is it?

James: It's an abandoned town located north of the Skarloey Railway. It was originally served by the Sodor and Mainland Railway until it went bankrupt. I was thinking it over and I was wondering if you would like to explore it with me.

Serena: I would love to. But, are you sure exploring the place is legal?

James: Yeah, I'm sure. I'll be there with you every step of the way. Besides, it's been a while since we've explored the wide outdoors.

Serena: You're right. I'll go with you.

James: Serena, you are the best.

The couple gave each other smothering kisses and fucked each other all throughout the night. The next day, James and Serena woke up very late. They ate a big breakfast, exercised, and planned for their hike.

The day after that was the day of the hike. James woke up early and gathered everything he and Serena needed. He filled each of their backpacks with a water bottle, a sleeping bag, several snacks, a full water bottle, two changes of clothes, 1 set of pajamas, and a rain poncho. He had just added his portable tent to his bag when Serena joined him. She was wearing light blue jeans, a light pink sleeveless shirt covered in hearts, a light brown belt, white socks, brown hiking boots, a Fennekin baseball cap, flower-styled sunglasses, and a black choker. The pair kissed, and after James quickly changed into his hiking outfit, they boarded a train headed for Crovans Gate. From there, they boarded Skarloey's train to Rheneas station. Once they arrived, James and Serena had a huge brunch to get all fueled up.

After their brunch, the couple locked arms and started walking north into the forest. They took pictures of the surrounding woodlands, smiling and talking all the way. After a little while, James and Serena stopped for a water break. As they sat down on a rock and chugged their water, Serena noticed something odd.

Serena: James, what is that?

James: What's what?

Serena: That little pile of rocks.

Serena pointed right in front of her. James looked closer and he noticed a wide pathway of stones going to his left and right.

James: Serena! This is ballast! This was where the line to Great Waterton was!
