A/n: This is Layla's Hellsing uniform

________

I shoot at the targets without remorse, my eyes trained and focused. They are relatively easy to take out, two newly made vampires on the loose and wreaking havoc in the dark alleyways of London at night, dragging their victims inside to meet their dooms at their hands and turn them into mindless ghouls to do the rest of their bidding.

The ghouls aren't much to handle either, the rest of my comrades are taking care of them now.

"Good work today, Layla" Commander Fargason nods "we'll take care of the rest from here"

I place my pistol back in the holster and walk away from the commander, stepping into the shadows and quickly appearing back at the Hellsing Manor. I place the pistol and holder on the nightstand and make my way to the bathroom to take a shower.

I want to take a nightly stroll through the garden. I've been looking down at it for the last two months now since I've reside here.

I bite into the red apple I grabbed from the kitchen just moments ago. Sitting on the window sill in my white silk dress pajama, I look down at the garden, night has fallen and the moon is out in full tonight but I don't feel too tired. Maybe I should check the garden out, I'm sure Integra wouldn't mind me taking a late night stroll through the garden.

Compare to my superiors back home, Sir Integra is far much more lenient than they will ever be and a lot more accommodating too.

It wouldn't be so bad.

I walk into the shadows of my room and appear outside in the garden. I walk along the path, looking at the many different flowers, eyes searching for a particular kind.

Daffodil, that's the name of the flower I like. The very first flower I picked.

My eyes scan each and every flower, silently looking until I come upon a batch full of familar looking white and yellow flowers. They do have them. I get down on my knees and hesitantly touch the pettle, eyes softening and face relaxing. It's such a pretty flower with a even more beautiful meaning behind it.

New beginning. I'm sure a lot of us would like to have a chance at a new beginning. My senses detects the presence of a familar vampire.

"How long are you just going to stand there?" I question the vampire, not turning around to look at him.

"I might say the night is beautiful, don't you think?"

I stand up and turn around to face him. He's stands a few meters away, looking up at the moon in the sky that casts a light on him, making him look more other worldly than he already is. I don't reply and look to the flowers.

"Care to join me for a stroll through the garden, Lady Death?" Inquires the vampire, an arm extended in invitation.

I hesitate, being very suspicious of him. I hope he isn't toying with me again.

He notes my hesitation "I promise to be on my best behavior and act like a proper gentleman"

Well that's surprising. I look back down at his arm again and slowly hooked my own with his, earning a satisfied grin to spread across his pale face.

"Don't make me regret this, vampire"

"I can assure you, I won't"

I find that hard to believe. We silently walk together through the garden. I take a bite out of my apple that I still have in my hand, attracting his attention.

"How fascinating, you're still able to survive off eating human food"

"Yes, I am half human after all"
