That night something between me and Alucard changed.
The feelings grown deeper, another invisible barrier broken, drawing us closer together. How unexpected, the events taking place is beyond even me. I'm left with new found emotions everytime I engage with the vampire.
The next two weeks consists of me going to missions with Commander Fargason, Seras and the Hellsing Soldiers. The vampire and ghoul situation is getting worst. Each day more are continuing to appear as if someone is purposely creating them.
Another week has pass before it's been discovered that the vampire's we went against has a chip of sorts lodged inside of their necks. There's a obvious connection and a meeting with the knights of the round table will be taking place in the Hellsing manor in a couple of days from now to discuss about the findings.
I currently reside in my room, seated on my bed after taking a nice shower and sipping on the blood bag through a white straw that lay on my nightstand. I sip the blood through the straw, drinking up the remaining substance and tossing the bag in the trash bin. Looking at my small nightstand, I open it and pull out beauty and the beast. The pages are still ripped due to the general but I might as well try to piece it back together the best way I can. The book is pretty old, the pages are yellow with age and the cover has seen the passing of time, the picture of the woman dancing with the beast on the front cover is faded, but I kept it even after all these years. Maybe I can find some tape around here.
"Beauty and the beast, a classic though over the years humans have changed up the story a bit so it dosen't appear as gruesome as it's original counterpart. I didn't take you for being the fairytale type of reader, once again you leave me surprise, narcisa mea"
I silently look at Alucard who once again has enter my room suddenly, he's seated on the edge of my bed. I look forward to his unexpected appearance, growing use to them. He merely continues to observe the tarnished book in my hands.
"I notice it looks disheveled" He points out "You couldn't have been the cause of it"
"How would you know that?" I question him. Curiosity settles in me as I await his reply.
"I can tell from the way you hold this book with care and gentleness" He observes. I look down at the book and the torn up pages.
"The general, he did this" I admit a moment later.
"That foolish man that tagged along with you?" He asks, well more like stated. His dark brows furrow at the thought of that vile man.
"That's the one" I reply in malice, a frown appearing across my countenance "a ghastly fool he is, no manners or respect for those around him. His ego is much bigger than his accomplishments, or lack there of since I'm the one who makes him look important. I can't stand the bastard"
A loud laugh leaves pass his lips, surprising me "I'm well aware. He dosen't look like much. A weak man parading around as something he's not can be clear to see to those who aren't idiot's at least"
I chuckle at this, thinking about the praises he receives at home by fellow colleagues who hate my very existence "then there are plenty of idiots where I worked, no surprise to me though"
I shift my attention back to the book "as for this book. I thought that maybe I can tape it together"
He eyes the book "Tape isn't going to fix it, he destroyed it beyond repair"
"I know" I let out a soft sigh in defeat. He's right about that.
"You sound rather disappointed. You must be attached to that book" He concludes.
"This is the very first book I learned to read fully on my own" I exclaim, looking down at it with a hint of fondness "it holds sentimental value despite how old it may look"
