This chapter took me, so damn long to write, for like the last 2 weeks I've been busy and had a little bit of writers block with this one but I think this came out really well so hope you like the update.

"Come on, Y/n why don't you want to run away from here" Ajax was trying his best to convince you to leave your home, your whole life, your livelihood.

"You know I wouldn't be able to survive out in this world... I can't even protect myself... I don't even have a vision" you didn't want to talk about this, it felt wrong for you to think about abandoning your responsibilities.

"I mean I could teach you how to fight, and about a vision... you really don't need one" Ajax had mumbled the last part like a child, you just shook your head playfully, a slight smile forming on your face.

You knew this man didn't want you to feel left out, it felt nice to have someone care for you even if the one telling you did have a vision of his own.

"Please Ajax this whole idea is dangerous especially since I'm a noble, please I really don't want you to get hurt" you know he can handle himself but you worry about him since he always puts himself in dangerous situations.

You know he's a harbinger but you still can't help but worry as he has a family to look after, his siblings are his reason for fighting.

"But Y/n aren't you unhappy, aren't you scared, haven't you always craved your freedom" that hit a nerve with you, freedom... What was the meaning of it?

It didn't feel attainable to you, it felt like a distant dream that would drift ever so slightly away from your grasp. So close yet so far away, your freedom was something you wanted but your mind kept nagging you to do what was right for your family.

Your need to please your family was stronger than your will to be free, well at least you thought so or maybe you forced yourself to believe that.

You've been silently thinking as your brows furrowed, you had bit your lip in frustration as the thought didn't make sense to you anymore.

Ajax on the other hand was just analyzing your expressions and body language, he wanted to make sure that his words were hitting the right nerve.

He hated that you were so loyal to your so called family, he also didn't like your relationship with scaramouche, it left a very bad taste in his mouth.

Ajax just didn't trust Scaramouche as someone who cares for the affection and care you needed, he doubted that Scaramouche thought of you in any way but as a toy for the balladeer to entertain himself.

"Y/n please just consider my offer, I don't want what happened last time..." you felt the murderous intent in his voice, you can only grab ajax's hand in both your hands as you shake your head with a sigh.

"Please don't worry about me... that was my own fault," you had hoped that would give him some peace of mind but he just grit his teeth in frustration as he looks away with a pained expression, "why do you always blame yourself."

You were confused for a second, that always worked on your parents, they would even belittle you with remarks about how useless you were. You probably had a confused expression since you felt a pair of warm arms around you.

"Uh... what.. a-ajax what are you doing" you looked like a mess, your face felt warm as your heart was beating like crazy. You had never felt this type of warmth from another person, it felt caring and safe.

Ajax had tightened his grip around you slightly, "Please Y/n, let me help you for once in your life." You were in complete shock as you stared at the void of darkness in front of you, you felt sick to your stomach as your breathing became heavy.
