"(y/n)!" Petra stood on her front porch, basically sticking her head into your door to see you.

"Let me put on my shoes." You giggled, trying your best to hurry. Petra wasn't the patient kind.

Her dad was waiting in your driveway as you walked out of the door wearing a cute crop top with black ripped jeans. Though, a sweatshirt covered your crop top. It was too cold to go out in just a crop top.

"Holy shit! Your house is huge!" Petra said, astonishment filling her voice as she looked at your new home.

"I know." You replied, making sure you had your wallet and everything you needed.

You walked with Petra towards her car before getting in the back seat.

"Hey (y/n), long time no see." He said as you smiled.

"You too." You replied to her father.

"So which mall are you girls going to?" He asked you as you pulled your phone out of your pocket and showed him a map of how to get to a mall close to your house. You've never been there before, but it was big and the go to mall for you now that you lived here.

"How'd you mess your phone up this bad?" He asked as he held onto the phone, clearly talking about the cracks.

"Long story." You sighed as he put the location from your phone onto his gps.

You took your phone back, putting it in your pocket as Petra's dad pulled out of the driveway and towards the mall.

"I'm going to be completely honest, I've never been to any malls around here. So I don't know the stores, or where the food court is, or how crowded it will be." You told Petra honestly as she shrugged.

"That's fine. I like new things. Plus, I'm sure even if the stores are overpriced and garbage, we can at least get some good food." She said as you nodded.

Petra's dad began asking you about your new school.

You told him and Petra about your courses, the baby you had to take care of, the people at school you've met, and even the fact that you were going to join a club.

But you couldn't tell them which club. You didn't even know yourself.

Petra began talking about how school life is for her. All girls, all drama, the same old.

She also told you about the fact that she took instrumental as a course because it's an easy credit, but she hates her class.

She knows how to play the clarinet, but she hates the class in general. She says the "band kids" stereotypes are real and they're in her class. You felt bad she had to hang out with weirdos, then again, you couldn't judge.

The only people you've talked to at school are the so called popular fake girl, the food obsessed Sasha, and Mina, who still had her hairstyle like a 5 year old. Oh, how could you forget the football playboy.

While Petra ranted about her school and how much she hated it, her dad just tapped his fingers on the steering wheel to the beat of the rock music playing in the background.

"This is the place." Petras father said as you and Petra looked outside of the window to see a huge mall. Twice the size of the one you usually went to together back home.

"Holy shit! It's huge!" Petra cheered as Her father didn't seem to care she swore. He was a chill dad. You wished you had someone like him in your life.

"Let's go!" You told Petra as you opened the car door, walking on the sidewalk towards one of the many entrances.

Petra followed, skipping ahead of you, clearly eager to go to the mall.
