"Umm." You said awkwardly, not knowing why they were all drinking beers on an island in the kitchen.

"(Y/n)! Why are you here?" Reiner asked with slight drowsiness in his voice as you looked to Bertholdt who looked at Porco.

"Dude." Bertholdt sighed as Porco shrugged.

"I invited her. Now get sober. You're embarrassing yourself." Bertholdt said as he turned to you.

He grabbed your moms jacket from you, going to hang it up for you.

"Wait, (y/n)," Reiner chased after you, seeing as you were going to follow Bertholdt.

He placed his beer down and wiped his mouth.

"Why are you here?" He asked as you moved away from the drunk boy.

"Bertholdt told you. He invited me." You said as Reiner leaned up against a counter, putting his hand on his head.

"Stupid asshole." He muttered under his breath as you raised an eyebrow.

"What?" You said sternly as Reiner waved his hand.

"Nothing. I'm sorry, let me get some water." He said, leaving you and going to get something to drink.

You didn't know where Bertholdt  went, and you tried to find him in another room.

You began hearing his voice talking to another person, and instead of interrupting, you listened in from the room beside.

"Why would you invite her? Reiners a mess. You know that!" The other boys voice belonged to Porco.

"I didn't think you'd be drinking. Reiners been promising to quit. Why's today so different?" Bertholdt shot back.

Was Reiner an alcoholic?

"I didn't tell them to drink. They did it themselves. Plus, Reiner has reasons. He's pissed off about Naomi." Porco responded.

Who was Naomi? You knew a Naomi, but who knows how many Naomi's in the world there is, and which one he's talking about.

"His ex is not a reason for him to be drinking." Bertholdt said as Porco sighed loudly.

Ex girlfriend? He's drinking over his ex girlfriend.... Yikes.

"Listen man. I didn't know you'd be bringing her." Porco told Bertholdt.

Bertholdt told you Porco knew you were going to come.

"Do you know how much of a turn off drinking is to women? Especially when we're talking about drunk Reiner." Bertholdt emphasized the last sentence.

It was a turn off. Smoking and drinking every once in a while, fine. But by the sounds of it, Reiner did this frequently. And over a girl......

You felt bad for eaves dropping. You left, allowing Bertholdt and Porco to continue arguing without you listening in.

You walked back towards the kitchen where the boys had begun putting the drinks away, not wanting you to judge them.

"Hey." You heard a high pitch voice come from behind you.

You turned around to see Falco. He was on the stairs, probably being uninvolved with what his friends were doing. Falco was just a freshman. You were glad he wasn't following in the seniors footsteps.

"Didn't expect to see you. Come upstairs." He said before going back upstairs, you following after him as he took you into a huge theatre like room.

"They've got their own movie theatre." You admired as Falco sat down at the seat dead centre of the room.

"I'm guessing you saw Reiner?" He asked as you nodded.

"I did. I never though of him as one to yknow..." you said, not knowing why you couldn't connect drugs to the popular football senior.

It made sense, the title and drugs were in twined. But something about Reiner didn't match that type of vibe. He was nice.

"His ex girlfriend got a girlfriend. Now he feels as if he was such a bad boyfriend to the point where a girl left him for a total different gender." Falco said as he held a bowl of popcorn out for you.

You sat next to him, but refused to eat any popcorn.

"How long have they been apart?" You asked, being interested in knowing the details about Reiners past love life.

"Six months. He doesn't get over girls well." Falco said as you knew that half a year was in fact a long time. But you and Jean have also been apart for six months, and you still felt some type of way from time to time.

"Can I tell you something?" He asked as he placed his hand next to yours. You nodded.

"On the outside, Reiner is very strong. He acts like nothing bothers him, and he plays it cool. But on the inside, he gets hurt by the people he loves, which causes him to have flings with people he doesn't care about." Falco said as you wondered what the last sentence meant.

"Reiner messes around with a lot of girls because he's scared of staying with one and being left again." Falco continued before continuing instantly, not wanting you to say anything before he finished the full story.

"But Reiner acted differently with you. It wasn't just a one time flirt, gone thing. He wants to make a real connection with you." Falco said as you turned away.

"But apparently he cares so much about his ex girlfriend. I don't want to be some distraction to him. I've got feelings too." You replied. It was easy to tell Falco your feelings. He was a freshman, he was younger, and there was no shame in telling someone younger than yourself something because Falco wouldn't judge you either way.

"I never do know what's going on inside his little brain." Falco said as he ate a handful of popcorn.

"But regardless, you're special to him. It's obvious." Falco sighed as he grabbed onto the tv remote.

"I was finishing up a doctor strange movie. Wanna watch?" He asked as you turned to the entrance of the small theatre where Reiner was looking at you.

You turned back to Falco who saw you looking at Reiner, and shooed you off letting you knew he didn't mind if you didn't hang with him.

You walked towards Reiner as he followed you downstairs into the living room.

His eyes were slightly pink and he looked out of it. But, he smelt better than before.

He rubbed his eyes a couple of times, sitting next to you quietly as he looked away from you, being disappointed in himself to the point where he couldn't look at you in the eyes.

"(Y/n), I-"

"Am I just some distraction?" You questioned as Reiner looked up at you.

"What?"
