When the lights go out, I accelerate as fast as possible. Due to my excellent start I'm already next to Russell and slowly start to inch ahead. Although I'm on the outside going into turn one, I get better traction. For the next three turns we are driving side by side. On the straight I start to pull away. I'm still on the out side, but I manage to cover off the Mercedes right before we get into turn 4.
"The next car ahead is Alonso."
"Gap?"
"One second."
I try to stay behind him, but he starts to pull away.
"Stay close for the next couple of turns."
When I come out of turn eight I get better grip then the Alpine. Along the straight I get closer and closer until we make it into turn nine.
Alonso takes advantage of being on the inside and pushes me wide. I barely stay on the track, but fortunately I know what's coming next.
"You are on DRS."
Opening the rear wing I cruise up to the back of the Alpine and get past him on the left.
Going into turn eleven I take the inside line and complete my overtake on Alonso.
"Nice job mate. Next one is Stroll."

Lap 25:

From the first lap onwards I kept on gaining on Stroll. Now I'm finally able to start to overtake him. I make my way around turn 16. I keep getting closer but I'm still not close enough for DRS. When I go into turn 17 I hear Mike over the radio.
"Gap is now 1.1."
That's close enough.
I make my way through corner 18 and 19 before I'm able to open my rear wing. As we cross the line to start lap 26 I'm ahead of the Aston Martin.
"We will box this lap, so please try to push as hard as possible."
"Understood."
"We want to overtake Stroll after the pit lane."

Perspective: Nayeon

Me and the members are currently sitting in one of our hotel rooms, since we are in America right now. We are here to perform, but currently we are just hanging out. I'm lazily zapping through the American channels, until I hear the roaring of a cars' engines.
The others start to watch as well.

"Here goes Daniel Ricciardo on Vettel!"
An orange car drives past a green car.
Sana speaks up.
"Isn't that the sport Gahyeon's brother is doing as well?"
"Not anymore. Remember the news?"
I nod in agreement and turn back to the tv. The camera is showing a red and white car which seems to drive really slow.
"And here is (y/n) Lee. Coming into the pit for his first stop."
I hear Dahyun gasping in surprise.
"Didn't you say even Gahyeon doesn't know what's going on?"
Dahyun nods as she keeps her focus on the screen.
The car is standing now, while a few men change the tyres really fast.
"That was an average pit stop for Alfa Romeo. Lee's stationary time is 2.5 seconds."
Tzuyu's voice comes from the spot where she is sitting.
"That was just average? Wow."
We see the car moving again as the camer angle changes. Now we are watching from above. Another green car seems to be coming around a corner.
"Here comes Lance Stroll onto the main straight! Although Lee is going to be behind the Aston Martin once again, he is gonna have fresher tyres!"
I can see the green car driving down the straight and turning into the next corner, while the red and white car starts to speed up.
The camera angle changes again and now we are right behind (y/n)'s helmet.
"On board now with (y/n) Lee, who is setting after Stroll!"
I can see the car ahead, but it seems like there is a big difference between them.
As the camera shows how (y/n) drives through another corner, I hear someone speak on a radio.
"The gap is two seconds."
"This much distance is only two seconds?"
"They must go really fast."
Mina answers Momo's question. I agree with her in silence when I hear the radio once again.
"Stroll's previous lap time is 1:30.4. You are three tenths quicker."
The camera moves once again and shows now different cars. They seem to be close as well.
"And here goes the Mercedes on Alonso!"
The silver car is coming closer towards the blue car.
"Isn't that the car (y/n) drove before?"
I don't know the answer to Jeongyeon's question.
After a while I see the green and the red and white car again. What did the commentator call this team again? Something with Romeo?
"(Y/n) Lee starts lap 28 right behind Stroll. The Aston Martin tries to defend as they go through the first couple of turns! Lee seems so much closer though! Making their way around turn three Stroll has the inside line, but it won't help him as they are now wheel to wheel! Now the Alfa Romeo driver is on the inside and gets his elbows out! When they come out, (y/n) Lee is up into tenth place! This is the second time this afternoon, that he overtook someone in turn four! Now he is into the points!"

Perspective: (y/n)

"You are now p8."
I can't believe what I'm hearing. Norris and Gasly are out. I'm not just scoring one point. If I can keep this up I can get more.
"What's the gap to Ocon?"
"Three seconds."
Although I can see the Alpine only on the straights I'm confident that I will be able to overtake him until the end of the race.
"You can do it mate. He hasn't pitted yet."

Lap 40:

"Gap?"
"Two seconds."
I keep gaining on Ocon. Probably because of my fresher tyres, but that might change soon when he comes in. I try my best to get closer. If I'm ahead of him when he comes back on the track I might have a chance to keep the position.
As I cross the line, I hear Mike over the radio.
"There are 17 laps to go mate."
In the middle of the lap I hear the radio once again.
"The Alpine's pit crew is coming out."
The next lap will be important. I have to be as fast as possible while Ocon is in the pit.
"The gap is currently 1.7."

When I come out of turn 19, I can see the blue car ahead going into the pit lane.
"This is it. Mode push."
I fly down the straight and go into turn one. From now on I need to defend my place. If they pit him this late it means that Ocon is going to be on softs. He has the faster tyres. Lucky for me, I'm the better driver.
"He is coming out now. On the softs."
"That was a slow stop right?"
"Yes. Gap is now four seconds."
That means he was 2.7 seconds or even longer stationary.

The last laps of the Miami Grand Prix fly by me. Although I know Ocon is closing in, he won't be making it with this big of a gap until the line.
At one point Mike told me the gap was down to three seconds, but then I only had two laps to go.
Now I'm on my last lap. I go through turn 16 and drive down the straight. There are only a couple of corners to go!
