Perspective: (y/n)

I can't believe my eyes, as I watch her small figure walk towards me. A black bucket hat and a mask hide her face. But after spending the whole day with her yesterday, I recognize her even without seeing her face. Her crop top and her sweatpants have the same color as her hat. Completing her all black outfit is a pair of white sandals. I stand up from the chair I was sitting on and watch her come closer. The sound of her steps on the wooden floor, the slight sway of her hips, the little grin on her face as she closes in. Everything about her makes me forget the world around us.
"What are you doing here?"
She pouts at my question.
"How rude. I just wanted to say goodbye."
"You didn't have to come."
"Of course I do. You are my......"
Nayeon stops in middle of the sentence. We never discussed what we are. What are we? Dating? A couple?
I see her eyes moving away, trying to find something else to look at.
"All passengers for the flight to Zurich, please go to your gate!"
The awkward moment is interrupted by the airport staff.
"That's me."
Now she looks directly my eyes.
"Please take care of yourself."
"You too."
I look at her worried expression, knowing why she is uneasy.
"I will be back for another date as soon as possible."
Her face lights up, as she gives me a big smile. Her cheeks blush.
"I will be cheering for you."
"Passengers for the flight to Zurich, please go to your gate!"
Nayeon takes my hand.
"Text me when you are at the hotel."
I'm surprised how caring she became.
"I will."
I give her a smile. We look into each other's eyes, not wanting to be apart so soon. Nayeon is still holding my hand, as if she is afraid I'm going to run away and never come back.
"Last call for the passengers of the flight to Zurich! Please go to your gate!"
"Goodbye now."
Nayeon sadly lets go of my hand.
"Goodbye (y/n)."
Before she can react, I give her a kiss on her cheek. Turning around I walk towards my gate without looking back.

"If you have time and space later in the race, you can go to display one position six. Display one, position six."
"Copy."
I relish the sound of the engines, as I wait for the lights to turn red. I'm so glad that I'm able to drive today, instead of Zhou. He drove the car during practice and qualifying. I wasn't supposed to drive this weekend, but it seems like I got lucky.
The team principal, did want to have a chat after one of the team meetings though. I had to promise him, that me and Valtteri wouldn't fight on track. We should put the team first.
"Let's do this, man. Show 'em what you got."
I smile as I hear Mike cheering me up over the radio. Watching the lights turn red one by one, I take a deep breath. This is the chance to prove that I deserve this seat.

Perspective: Nayeon

I'm still surprised, as I see (y/n)'s name being displayed on the screen.
"I thought only the driver who drove yesterday and on Friday would be allowed to race."
To my right, Tzuyu shakes her head.
"(Y/n) did a few laps on Friday. With that he is allowed to drive now."
She really does seem to know a lot about this sport.
The two of us watch, as the race begins. (Y/n) starts in the middle of the field. It looks like he is driving really good, but the focus is more on the cars in front right now. Although they just started, the cars are already really fast. After exiting a corner, they drive up a hill. I see (y/n) coming dangerously close to another car.  Biting my lip, I pray that he will be alright. I don't want anything happen to him. While they drive down a long straight, he finally gets past the other car. The camera switches back to the cars in front.
Me and Tzuyu gasp in shock, as we see a silver car fly into the air. My hand finds itself on her arm, while we watch the replay.
"Something could've happened to the two of them."
For a second I imagine it was (y/n)'s car which got thrown into the air. I get goosebumps, before chasing the thought away.
"Don't worry. The last time someone died was eight years ago. I looked it up."
I close my eyes in disbelief.
"(Y/n) could die?"
"No, no. Safety is pretty high."
Tzuyu sounds like she is in pain.
"He will be fine. So please let go off my arm."
Opening my eyes, I see that I dug my nails into her skin. Finally letting go, small half moons appear on Tzuyu's otherwise perfect skin.

Lap: 2

While Tzuyu begins to eat some of her popcorn, I begin to eat my finger nails. For her watching (y/n) drive is entertainment. For me it's just worrying and scary. I can imagine how Gahyeon feels, everytime she watches (y/n) drive. Although I don't know him for that long, I still pray that he will be fine.

(Y/n) is now driving through another corner. Trying to get ahead of the blue car in front of him, he gets closer and closer.
"Come on. Get the Alpine."
I hear Tzuyu's voice, cheering (y/n) on.
Suddenly the car ahead of the Alpine leaves the circuit for a moment. It gets onto the gravel and spins back onto the road. While the Alpine manages to get out of the way, I see (y/n) coming closer. It feels like time slowed down, as I watch (y/n) reacting. He tries to go to the other side of the track, but the blue car is too fast. I gasp in horror. (Y/n)'s car gets hit in the back. Parts of it fly into the air. He gets pushed onto the grass, throwing dirt everywhere. The scene is blocked by the dust for a second. Then I see (y/n) keeps going. I realize he is still on the grass. He gets closer to the barrier. The car spins as well. He slides over the grass and the road towards the wall.
"(Y/n)! No!"
