"It's already too much though!"
Kazuha pouts at me.
"Please! I need this!"
I sigh as I take a sip of my Iced Americano.
"We have been here for three hours now."
"Please, unnie. I think it's right over there."
Kazuha points at a store a few meters away.
When she asked me to go shopping with her this morning, I thought it would be fun. But now my feet hurt and I just want to lie down. While she drags me towards the store, we walk past a booth with a TV in it. A few people are standing around it, watching the news. Looking at the screen while walking, I bump into Kazuha.
"Why did you stop?"
"I need to use the restroom."
Before I can protest she is gone.
I roll my eyes and just join the people, looking at the tv. Because the news are on mute, they are playing the subtitles. I suddenly read (y/n)'s name. I smile when I remember the last time I saw him. The date in the park.
Looking at the screen I see a picture of him. Suddenly I realize there is a woman next to him. I'm shocked, thinking the two of us got recognized. What is going to happen to us? My eyes fall onto one word in the caption of the photo. Dating. I bite my lip as another photo starts to appear. At first I'm afraid they are going to show my face, since it wasn't visible in the picture before, but they don't. Then I realize the woman in the picture has a different hair colour than me. Her hair is shorter than mine. Although her face is not captured by the camera, I see (y/n) laughing and looking lovingly in her direction. My stomach sturts to hurt. My cheeks heat up. Who is this woman? My hands form fists as I keep watching the news. This can't be happening!

Perspective: (y/n)

"I'm losing power, guys!"
I get anxious, as I drive through turn two.
"Something is wrong with the car."
"We are looking into it right now."
I can feel myself losing speed while I keep driving.
"Your gap to Ocon is increasing."
"What do you want me to do? The car isn't going faster."
I can feel myself getting frustrated. In Baku, I felt like the car wasn't able to keep up with my pace as well.
"Please try display three, position six. Display three position six, when you can."
I try to to follow the instructions without making it worse.
"Not working."
"Alright. Try mode two then. Mode two."
I do as told.
I feel myself going faster. Finally.

Lap: 40

"Box to overtake Ocon. Box to overtake Ocon."
"Okay."
While I complete this lap, I pray that the car will survive. Although I almost had to retire earlier, it's now possible to drive almost as fast as usual. I'm still lacking pace, but I'm fast enough for now.
Driving down the straight, I enter the pit lane. I get to the box. The tires get off. The new ones are being put on. I'm about to accelerate, when the display on the steering wheel turns black. Nothing moves. I press the button for the radio to try to say something.
"Power's gone out."
I realize that they can't hear me. Looking up, I see one of the crew members shaking his head and moving his arms.
I'm out.

I kick off my shoes as I enter my hotel room. Today has been awful. Getting myself something to drink, I slump down onyo the sofa. It was so disappointing having to retire. I feel like I have let everyone down. The fans, the people who watched the race, the crew and even Gahyeon. I can't believe this.
I tried to call and text Yunjin before already, but she didn't respond. She didn't pick up the phone or answered my messages. I went through our chat history to see if I said something wrong, but I couldn't find anything. Why is she angry? I had hoped she could help me take my mind off the horrible race.

Perspective: Nayeon

"What's this?"
Sana shows me a picture of (y/n) and another woman on her phone. I can't see her face. The text beneath says, that the two of them are probably dating. When Sana scrolls to the top, my jaw drops.
There is a photo of (y/n) walking side by side with Gahyeon while laughing at each other.
Are Lee (y/n) and Lee Gahyeon dating?
The two of them were seen being close on several occasions.
I can't believe this is happening.

Hello everyone! I'm sorry that it took me so long to upload a new chapter, but I have Covid right now. I was very sick the last few days, so I wasn't feeling well enough to write. I'm better now, but I don't know how soon the next chapter will be out.
I read somewhere that Nayeon already achieved at least one win! That's really good! I hope she gets even more.
