Perspective: Gahyeon

My hand covers my mouth as I look at the screen. The car that's flipped upside down. It looks like it's from (y/n)'s team! I don't see anything else except the tv. The members noises are fading into the background.
Please let him be okay. Please.
I was always afraid of this moment. Afraid (y/n) might get injured. Afraid (y/n) might die.
For me, time passes slowly as I watch the car sliding over the ground. Sparks are flying from where (y/n)'s head should be. I have to force myself to keep my eyes open. Hoping that he will be okay. The car seems to get slower once it's sliding over the gravel. Before I can feel relieved that it's over, the car crashes into the barrier and gets thrown into the air. I hear myself scream once more, before the car hits the fence and lies on its side afterwards. My heart hammers in my chest as I feel someone hugging me. I feel like my heart is about to burst before I see a small window on the bottom of the screen.
It's not (y/n)! His teammate's name is written there and after the replay he is shown on the camera.
I sink back into the couch. Although my heart is still going way to fast I slowly calm down. I thought I lost him. I thought (y/n) was badly hurt. I'm relieved it's not my brother. But I'm also relieved that no one else got hurt.

Perspective: Nayeon

A deep sigh of relief leaves my body. During the crash my heart was pumping as fast as the these cars drive. I was barely able to watch when the car crashed into the barrier. I'm so happy that the driver didn't get hurt. When I thought it was (y/n)'s car, I almost screamed.

Perspective: (y/n)

"Is he okay?"
"He is fine. The race will start again now."
I wait for the lights as I look up. Because of the crash I moved down into ninth place. I had a couple of good races already, I hope this one will turn out great as well. Starting from ninth place will make it easier to get into the top 5. That is my goal for now. Getting to the top five.
While the lights turn red I pray, that the car performance will be good. I wasn't able to finish the last race. I know my goal is a bit optimistic, but I want to do well. I want to show that I'm capable of winning races.

When the lights go out I accelerate. I'm right behind Alonso during the start. During the first couple of corners I manage to get closer to his rear wing. Once we get onto the Wellington straight, I get onto the outside as I inch ahead. Trying to go the long way around, I'm side by side with the Alpine as we enter turn six. After leaving the corner I'm now on the inside. I almost go too deep as we get into turn seven. Although we come out of Luffield right next to each other again, I'm the car who is slightly ahead now. Blasting down the old pit straight, Alonso tries to fight back, but our pace is pretty even until we reach the next corner. Going through Copse I have the inside line once again and I'm finally ahead of the Alpine. Trying to get into my slipstream down the straight, Alonso keeps hanging on, but as we reach turn ten I am able to take the next couple of corners way faster than him.

Lap: 39

"Double yellows. Double yellows."
I take the next corner.
"Ocon stopped ahead on the straight."
"Where?"
I slow down a bit, not wanting to crash into his car.
"Stay on the right. Stay on the right."
I do as Mike tells me and drive past the standing car down the straight.
Since Alfa Romeo wants to get into 5th place in the constructors, it's important that I'm ahead off one Alpine, while the other is now out.
"It's gonna be a safety car. Box now. Box now."
Getting into the pit, I see that Sainz and Hamilton are pitting as well. Once I get back out I'm finally ahead of Norris. I tried to overtake him over the last couple of laps. Due to the cheap pit stop from the safety car, I'm now ahead of Norris. But I'm also now behind Alonso, who was able to get into the pit ahead of me.

Lap: 42

Following the safety car, I try to stay as close as possible to the Alpine ahead. My highest finish until now was p5 in Baku. Now I have the chance to get there once again due to the safety car situation.
"Safety car coming in this lap. Safety car coming in. Focus."
I hear Mike over the radio.
"There are ten more laps to go."
"Let's make it count."
