Locklynn is a teenage girl, but with a family who doesn't care about her, that is until she runs away and meets Devin, a boy her age with a connection to wolves.
Locklynn POV "Where are we?" I ask as I follow the tall boy into a cave. "This is my humble abode, welcome to the wolf den!" Devin announces as a pack of wolves approaches Devin."Woah, more wolves!" I say enthusiastically. I was walking around as the wolves where watching my every move. One of the smaller wolves jumped on me knocking me down. It starts licking me and trying to play.

Devin POV I was watching all the wolves around Locklynn to make sure they were going to react ok when I glance over where Locklynn was. I smile as I watch the small girl playing with the wolf. "That's Lilac, she's one of the smaller wolves here so far. She likes you. If your going to stay here you should probably pick a wolf companion. Lilac is small but could definitely protect you. I have Axle with me at all times so you can pick from any of the wolves to accompany you while your here." Locklynn looks at Lilac with a sad smile, "it's sad she doesn't have anyone. I know a thing or two about that." I smile at the two girl playing as Locklynn is rubbing Lilacs belly. "You know I think Lilac does have someone. I don't know why but she choose you Woods. If she's the one you want with you at all times, she's yours." She smiles brightly and gives me a grateful expression. "Thanks Devin I appreciate it." She says playing with her new found friend. "Cute" I think to myself. As she's playing with Lilac though her sleeve comes up revealing her arms and I notice something odd about the girl. "Hey Woods?" I ask walking closer to the girl in front of me. "Yeah?" She replies looking up at me. "Are those.....bruises? On your arms?" Locklynn POV "Crap" I think to myself "He must have seen them." I look at him calmly and say "Yeah, I tripped on a branch running away from your oversized mut, of course I'm gonna have some bruises." Devin looks at me and puts his hand on his chest "ouch! My wolf is much better behaved then an 'oversized mut'! If you let them hunt they can bring back dinner!" He says very matter of factly. "Ok then wolf boy, can you show me my room?" I ask. Devin quickly stands up, me doing the same and checks his phone. It reads 12:00 a.m. "Oh right it's rather late huh? I'll show you where it's at." I follow him up a flight of stairs with Lilac and Axle following closely behind while also playing. "Right in here" Devin says opening a door with a slight smile.

Wow! This place is awesome!" I say looking around. "Wouldn't you be used to this? It's not even as nice as rich people rooms." The boy says looking at me confused. "Remember my room was the basement at home" I say with a slight smile. "I'll bring Lilac a bed" he says. "Yeah, about that, I think she already found one." I say pointing to the small wolf lying on my bed curled in a ball. "Yeah I think your right!" The boy says laughing a little. "My room is right across the hall if you need anything!" He says about to leave. "Ummmmm Devin?" I say a blush spreading across my face. "Yeah Woods?" He asks. I look down as I say, "I don't have any clothes, toothbrush, or anything for that matter." Devin POV As soon as the words leave her mouth I feel a blush threatening to spread across my face. "Oh right, hold on!" I say running to my room. I come back with a toothbrush and hand it to her and then run back to my room. "I think I'm really starting to like her. I've seen her around a few times and was always so mesmerized by her. I think my favorite hoodie is in here somewhere, I'll get that for her!" I say talking to myself slightly. "Aha! Found it!" I say grabbing a hoodie

I run back to her room as fast as I can to give it to her. Locklynn POV "Here you can wear one of my hoodies tonight and we can go shopping for some clothes for you tomorrow after breakfast." Devin says smiling. "Yeah. Ok, that sounds good." I answer. "Awesome! Good night Woods." The green eyed boy says. "Good night Banks." I reply smiling. He leaves my room and after changing I snuggle more into his hoodie. "Oh no." I think to myself "I can't be falling for him already. Right?" After a few more minutes of thinking both me and Lilac drift into dream land.
