Locklynns POV:
I woke up early the next morning with a massive headache and realized Devin wasn't there anymore. I must have fallen asleep during the movie. I look around my room seeing Lilac still asleep and glance at the time. OMG ITS 8:30 WE ARE SO LATE FOR SCHOOL! I quickly change into my uniform and rush down the stairs ignoring my headache and I see Devin sitting on his phone on the couch. "We are so late for school! Hurry up and get ready! The teachers are going to KILL US!" I say in a very rushed way. "Locklynn chill, the teachers think your sick right now so I figured after yesterday we could just stay home for you to relax." The boy in front of me states matter of factly. "Oh. I'm changing back into comfortable clothes and I'll be down in a minute." I reply softly mentally reminding myself to do something for him later."
Devins POV
"Ok sweetheart that's fine." I tell the girl as she stops dead in her tracks. "S-sweetheart?" She questions after realizing what I said. "Uh yeah sorry if I made you uncomfortable I just thought it was kind of cute and I-" my rambling gets cut off by her coming over and kissing my check. "No it's fine, I like it." She says walking away. I glanced down at Axle who's sitting by my feet with a small blush spread across my face. About 10 minutes later Locklynn comes back downstairs and lays down with her head on my lap. "My head is pounding right now." She states with tears threading to leave her eyes. "Really? I'm sorry baby, let's get you back to bed hm?" I state gently lifting the girl and carrying her to her room. I lay her on her bed and tuck her in giving her a kiss on the forehead before turning to leave. "Please stay with me?" I hear a weak voice coming from the bed. I turn around and get under the blanket pulling her into my chest. "Ok, I'll stay. Try to get some sleep love." I tell her as she nods gently. This is all because of some idiots from school. I'll have to make sure to teach them a lesson tomorrow. But for now I should probably get some rest too. I reach over and set an alarm on my phone for 11:30 so we don't sleep all day and set my phone down on the bedside table. I then close my eyes and feel myself drift off to sleep.
