                           Devin POV
I wake up to the sound of my alarm going off and Axle barking ready to leave my bedroom. I turn off my alarm to see it says 6:15 a.m. I glance over at the wolf who is pawing my door and I start to wonder if Locklynn is awake yet or not. I leave my room and let the excited wolf out as I see the light in Locklynn's room are on. I go downstairs to start making breakfast when I hear a high pitched scream coming from upstairs. "WHAT DID THESE MONSTERS DO TO MY CLOSET?!?" the familiar voice yells as I hear footsteps running down my stairs. I glance at the girl slightly laughing as she looks incredibly mad. "What happened to your closet Woods?" I ask knowing exactly what she was talking about. "Idk which one of these wolves did it but the shopping bags are torn up all over my floor!" She yells looking directly at Axle. "That mut was the only one other then Lilac in my room and Lilac is WAY to pregnant to be engaging in pointless activities like DESTROYING MY CLOSET!" Locklynn yells out looking at Axle. "Breakfast will be ready soon." I say looking at the girls who is sitting at the table. "Do you not remember what happened last time?" She said with a worried expression. "I meant MY breakfast is almost ready. Your is sitting on the counter already." I say pointing at the single apple on the counter.
                     Locklynn POV
Wow he actually remembered! I don't understand why I keep falling for Devin more. I guess how knowing he's Thomas made a big difference. I always loved the green eyed boy that lived next door. After dad died it changed so much and I lost hope for what seemed like ever. Life was boring without Devin around. "Are you done daydreaming and ready for school now? I hear the voice say causing me to jump out of my skin. "Y-yeah I'm ready, let's go" I say trying to hide the blush as I was staring directly at him daydreaming. We start heading out to the car with the wolves on their harnesses beside us. "So how do we explain this?" I ask pointing toward the two wolves following behind us. "We put them on harnesses so we can say they are dogs. Just lie and say you have a health condition, since your step dad isn't paying for you to come school here they won't question it. There's an old lady near where I live that has pretended to be my legal guardian often so if we need to we can give the school her phone number." Devin responds like he's done this before. "Hey Devin?" I ask. "Yeah Woods?" He responds looking directly at me. "Why do we have to take the wolves everywhere?" I ask starting to wonder what the deal was.
Devin POV
I was worried she would question it I just didn't think she would wonder this soon. "My parents are still looking for me. It's been 5 years but they haven't dropped it yet. I keep the wolves around because the entire time I lived with them I pretended to be scared of wolves so they wouldn't find the wolf den. I keep the wolves around so I can deny I'm their son if they find me and the wolves will make it more believable. Besides worse comes to worse I let the wolves handle them." I says with a small chuckle. "That makes since actually." Locklynn reply's smiling. "We are almost at school let's go." I say to the girl as we get our stuff out.
Locklynn POV
"Hello there you guys must be the new students! I'm going to have to ask what kind of dogs these are and why you have them." A lady at the door asks looking at the wolves nervously "oh no all ready" I think to myself. "O-oh these are, umm" I stumble over my words. "These are a German shepherd mix. You see due to some health conditions Woods here needs them around." Devin responds taking over the situation. "Oh oh I'm sorry to hear that you guys may go in." The lady says as we enter the school. As we walk in I see girls staring at me in jealous as I am standing right beside Devin. He was at a school last year but his good looks and reputation defiantly followed him here. The girls glare at me and I know I have one problem here already.
