Chapter 7

                     Locklynn POV
I watch as 3 girls approach me and Devin but I could tell they didn't have good intentions. "So your the new kids? Devin right? You went to school with my brother James last year right?" One of the girls say as she puts her hand on Davin's shoulder. I don't know what I'm feeling but I'm mad so mad at her! Wait..... is this what jealousy feels like? But we aren't even dating! "My name is Jess, by the way! The blonde girl beside me is Katie and the girls with black hair is Lila!" The red head says as she moves her hand off of Devins shoulder finally. "And you are?" She asks me giving me a glare. "I'm Locklynn." I say returning the glare to her. "So what's the deal with these mangy muts being here?" She asks looking at Lilac. "I know I was in the same class as James, but I'd appreciate if you didn't talk to Locklynn that way." Devin says as he puts a hand on my shoulder. "Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize you two where friends." She says making the word friends very clear. "Well maybe you should start paying attention when someone new walks in." Devin said walking away as I follow. "I really don't think those girls liked me." I say stopping and looking at Devin. "Jess has had a crush on me since freshmen year, so she doesn't like any girl I'm close to." Devin said with an annoyed look in his eyes. Another girl likes him. I should have known he really was too perfect. "Listen, Locklynn I have to get to class, I'll met you in the cafeteria after, ok?" He says as he starts walking away. "Ok." I respond. As he is walking away I realize he left his keys with me. Oh well I can give them back to him later. I start walking to class when all of a sudden a guy grabs my arm and pulls me into a dark hallway. "Hey what was that for?!?" I slightly yell. "Your a cute one huh?" The guy said as he starts leaning in towards me like he's gonna kiss me. I try pushing him away as best I could.
                       Devin POV
I realized shortly after that Locklynn still had my keys so I decided to go back for them before I forget. As I was waking back I hear Lilac barking, but it was a more aggressive bark. I follow the sound of the barking to an extremely dark hallway only to find a guy trying to kiss Locklynn. "Who does this jerk think he is!?!" I yell mentally as I walk over. I grab the guy by the back of the collar and start beating him up. "Don't mess with her EVER again!" I yell at the guy. "Or what? What are you her boyfriend." Yeah I am what of it?"
                      Locklynn POV
I sit stunned. Did he just say he was my boyfriend?!? The guy looks at me. "Yeah that's right, this is my boyfriend." I say trying to make it believable. "Tsk, whatever." The guy says as he stormed off. "So are we fake dating now at school?" I ask Devin as that was all I could think of. "I guess so." He replies. This is gonna be an interesting school year.
