Bold is ancient Egyptian, and no, Addy can't understand it. Only Evie can understand Imhotep fully.
Also I know some things are different, but I hope you don't mind.

Imhotep turned to me and his right arm was gone. Jonathan was on the floor, shaking the arm off of him, and snatching the Book Of Amun-Ra off the ground. Jonathan held up the key and grinned at me. "Evie! I've got it!" He yelled to Evie. I smiled at Jonathan weakly as Imhotep strode towards me, snapping his right arm back in place.
"Jon, get the book to Evie." I told him, just as Imhotep stepped in front of me. "Who are you?" Imhotep asked in English, surprising me. Beni must have taught him a few basic phrases. The thought of Beni teaching anyone made me want to laugh.
"Adalind O Connell." I said, glancing behind Imhotep where Evie and Jonathan were standing. Evie was looking through the book. I needed to keep him talking for as long I could. Rick was nowhere in sight.
Imhotep smirked. "O Connell." He repeated then looked behind me. I turned quickly to see Rick standing there, aiming his pistol at Imhotep. "It's no use Rick!" I yelled, but Rick shot at Imhotep and I jumped out of the way.
Imhotep grinned and dodged the bullets. I made a step into Jonathan's direction when Imhotep pulled me back by my wrist. He pulled me to him.
"Stop shooting or she dies."
The only one in the room capable of understanding Imhotep let out a shout.
"No! Rick put down the gun! He said he'll kill her!" Evie yelled, and Jonathan made a move towards Imhotep. Rick slowly put down the gun and Imhotep whirled me around. I was now facing Jonathan, his face was unreadable, but his eyes, they were full of rage.
"You killed who I loved most. Now I'm going to do the same to you."
I glanced at Evie for a translation, but her mouth was wide in shock, and I knew whatever Imhotep said was terrible. Jonathan looked angrier than I'd ever seen him. The lightheartedness was gone, the humor that used to be in his blue eyes.
All I could see now was anger, and fear. Imhotep tightened his grip on me and I winced as I felt my wrist throb. It would definitely bruise later. "Please. Don't hurt her." Jonathan pleaded. I fought the rising tears.
"No." Imhotep said in English and I did cry then. "Don't you touch her!" Rick yelled, running towards Imhotep. Imhotep knocked him away with one hand, still holding me. I looked away as Rick hit the ground. I saw Evie pointing to something in the Book Of Amun- Ra.
She'd found it. I knew she knew how to kill Imhotep now. Hopefully she finished the translation before Imhotep tried to kill me. It would be useless for me to fight back. Imhotep lifted me up and put his hand around my neck. I felt my airways become closed off. "Addy! Evie hurry up!" Jonathan yelled and I coughed.
I was starting to panic, I kicked my legs but I couldn't breathe. "Addy! You let her go!" I heard Rick yell. My vision was becoming blurry, and I could barely make out Evie.
"Kadeesh mal. Kadeesh mal! Pared oos. Pared oos!" Evie yells and Imhotep turns to her, his face terrified. I gasped as he threw me aside, and groaned as my body hit the stone floor. I sucked in deep breaths of air, clutching my throat. I felt two strong arms wrap around me.
"Addy, are you alright?" Jonathan asked me, turning my neck back and forth to examine. I was sure I'd have a bruise there. "Better now that you're here." I told him, and planted a kiss on his lips. He smiled and then he looked away, looking scared. I turned to see what he was looking at and gasped.
A ghostly chariot pulled by two shadowy horses flew down the stairs and grabbed Imhotep. I jumped up with Jonathan and we backed away fearfully. Evie grabbed my arm as we reached her. Rick was there too, and he looked more scared than I'd ever seen him.
The chariot rode away, back up the stairs, carrying a spiritual Imhotep. Imhotep yelled something in Ancient Egyptian, and leaned forward, looking defeated. I'd thought the inscription would kill him. "I thought you said it would kill him!" Rick said incredulously to Evie, voicing my thoughts. I turned to look at Rick fearfully as Imhotep strode towards us.
Rick had a sword in his hands, and he placed it in front of him in defense as Imhotep reached us. Imhotep staggered back in pain. "He's mortal." Evie told us, and Imhotep looked down at the sword embedded in his stomach and the blood pouring from it, with a shocked expression.
He pulled the sword out of his stomach and fell into the black pit leading to the underworld. The same pit he'd tried to save Anucksunamun from all those years before. We watched in silence as he slowly sunk into the pit, becoming the mummy we had first risen again. He said something in Ancient Egyptian before he was completely consumed by the pit.
"Death is only the beginning." Evie translated and I sighed, falling against Jonathan. I couldn't believe we'd done it. We'd defeated Imhotep and we were safe. Jonathan squeezed my shoulders. Of course, the moment of peace couldn't last long. The temple walls started to crumble, and I knew the entire city was going to fall.
Rick grabbed Evie's hand and Jonathan grabbed mine. "We need to go." Rick said and we ran through the city, the walls crumbling as we went. Jonathan pulled me out of harms way plenty of times, the walls falling everywhere we ran. We finally made it to the room full of treasure, the one Jonathan had so desperately wanted to get his hands on.
"Rick! The walls!" I yelled, as I saw the walls were closing in, shutting us out. Rick grabbed my arm and pushed me behind Evie, letting us through first. Jonathan and Rick slid through the small space next. "O Connell! O Connell!" I heard a familiar voice yell. Beni. Rick leaned down, reaching for Beni's hand.
But the wall shut and Rick snatched his hand back. "Goodbye Beni." Rick said, almost sadly, and we ran out of the city. The statues were tumbling down, falling in front of us as we ran.
I stumbled, falling onto the sand, and Jonathan pulled me up, pulling me along with him. The four of us finally made it onto the sand outside of Hamunaptra, just as the entire city collapsed into the sand.
I pulled Jonathan into a hug, and Evie joined the hug, pulling Rick in as well. This was perhaps the happiest moment of my life. Maybe second to Jonathan saying he loved me. My family was safe, and I was safe. I felt a hand touch my shoulder and I shrieked, and Jonathan did as well.
I turned to see Ardeth Bay, sitting on top of a camel, his hand bandaged. "Thank you!" Jonathan yelled, referring to being scared to death. Ardeth smiled slightly and looked at each of us. "My people are very grateful. May Allah smile on you always." Ardeth said, and kissed his fingertips and forehead, in what I assumed was a symbol of respect.
Jonathan copied him somewhat and I tried not to laugh. Ardeth smiled at each of us once before he rode away. Jonathan turned to me. "He's just- leaving us here." He said and I burst into laughter. Evie and Rick laughed with me, and I was relieved to be laughing. A few moments ago, I'd thought we'd never laugh together again.
"Well, I suppose we leave empty handed. Again." Jonathan said sadly and I smiled at him. "I wouldn't say that." Rick said, staring down at Evie. I smiled at this. Evie grinned up at him and pulled him into a kiss, and I looked away. Jonathan rolled his eyes. "My brother and your sister, huh?" I asked him, beaming as I stepped closer to him.
Jonathan grinned, that beautiful grin is come to love and pulled me to him. "I guess we aren't leaving here empty handed after all." He said, and pulled me into a kiss.
With that, we climbed onto the camels, and rode off into our happily ever after, and much to Jonathan's delight, there was a satchel attached to our camel filled
to the brim with priceless treasure.
