And I... am... Iron Man." *snap*

Tony was sure he was dying. Well why wouldn't he? He had just used and contained the power of all of the six infinity stones, when even the Mad Titan had struggled using every single one of them at the same time.

Surprisingly, dying didn't feel as bad as he would have initially thought. Of course the pain was awful. He couldn't feel his right side anymore, everything there just felt numb, but that was fine. There was a peaceful darkness pulling on the corners of his mind. Succumbing to it was oddly peacful. It was as if he was being cushioned by a warm blanket of pure emotions and calm. The last thing he heared was Peppers voice telling him that he could rest now.

"Anthony!" Someone called from outside of a room, he supposed. Knocks accompanied the smooth voice of his mother.

Wait. His mother? She's dead right? Has been for over 36 years now. But the voice was too real, too convincing to be a projection. Even BARF wasn't this advanced to let one feel the emotions of the others voice.

The only conclusion Tony could come up with was that he was dead. He had finally died after escaping the grip of death so many times. At that though he shot out of the comfortably warm bed. He stalked towards the door and opened it slightly. As he peaked through, he could see his mother right there, as beautiful as ever, wearing a gentle smile at his appearance.

"Have you packed your things already?" She asked gently nudging the door open to step into the room. Tony let her as he slid to the side so his mother could open the door wider.

Still in shock Tony tried to comprehend what was happening. Had he packed? What for? Where was he going? All these questions flooded his mind and he couldn't come up with an answer. Wasn't he supposed to be dead? Shouldn't he maybe be at peace or something? His mother stared at him eyebrows furrowing slightly in worry.

She then saw the suitcase sitting in the corner of his room and the corners of her lips pulled upward again but this time a little more somber. Maria hugged her son tightly in the moment of privacy. Tony didn't know how to react so he just let himself go and slid his arms arround her torso.

"Please take care of yourself Antonio. You're 15 and already going to MIT, even though I don't show it often enough, I'm proud of you. Your father as well even though he's been busy. So please take care, okay?" His mother finished. She looked at her son intently engraving his every being in her mind as she did. In the moment Tony's brain was going through so many phases at once. Panic, confusion, anger, acceptance.

His body had already geared into moving automatically. He hugged his mother tighter and smiled at her softly as well as reasuringly. "Yea, I'll take care of myself don't worry. MIT is full of my kind of people, I'll rock it!" He reasured.

Maria's eyes were glassy as unshed tears gleamed in her eyes. She was so proud of her son and hated the fact that she couldn't spend more time with him, being a real mother to him, who he could rely on. And now he was moving to further his study and away from his parents.

"Okay get ready and dressed, we'll be waiting outside." Her lips tugged upward even though it didn't reach her eyes fully and she left the room closing the door behind her. He went and took a quick shower after which he dressed himself.

Tony quickly grabbed his suitcase and made his way out of the house. There stood the Jarvis' and Howard. Quickly saying his goodbye to the Jarvis' and giving them a hug each, he moved into the car with both his parents and they drove off.

While they were driving Tony was thinking. He firgured already that this wasn't the afterlife, he could still feel pain which wasn't supposed to be, unless he landed himself a place in hell which also seemed unlikly because then he would probably be in even more pain. So there was only one plausible explanation in his mind.
