"It was Dum-Es fault, I swear!" Tony exclaimed and pointed at said robot.

Rhodey just shook his head in exasperation. "Well, what now?" He asked looking pointedly at the super soldier currently occupying the floor.

"How about we bring him to my room?" Tony suggested pointing at the elevator which was there to give direct access to his room.

"Yea let's do that." Rhodes agreed.

"The only question that remains is, how?" Tony asked sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.

...

After about 20 minutes of grunting, heaving, dragging and pulling later, they finally managed to get Winter onto Tonys bed.

The two bestfriends were exhaustedly sitting against the wall when they heared a gentle knock on the door.

Tonys head turned so fast he could have gotten whiplash.

Fuck

Tony mouthed to Rhodey. The other was staring at him with wide eyes.

Imma hide in the closet

He mouthed back and made his way over to said closet silently.

Tony quickly collected himself and went to open the door.

"Jarvis! Hey! Wh- What are you doing here?" He asked awkwardly.

Jarvis, noticing the awkwardness of his babble, just chuckled at him. But his mood soon soured considerably.

Tony was alert after that. "What happened?" He asked.

"Let's move to the living room first shall we?" Jarvis replied with a strained smile.

Tony followed the elder man silently. They soon reached the living room and both sat down on the couch.

"So what's wrong?" Tony asked once again turning to his butler/ father figure.

"Tony..., Your, your parents." Jarvis started.

"What happened?" Tony whispered eyes wide with fake worry. He had to put up an act of not knowing even if it hurt the yougster deeply. Lying to Jarvis had always been hard for him.

"They, your parents, they were in a car accident, and devestatingly, both have lost their lives." Jarvis concluded looking Tony in the eyes.

Tony put up a façade of being shocked. His eyes went wide his mouth opening and closing, trying to get something out that wasn't even there to begin with.

He'd have clapped himself on the shoulder if it wasn't this serious of a situation.

Finally he looked down at his hands, which were shaking by now. Which he found was actually not an act.

"I-I see." Tony finally settled on. "Were they dead on impact or did they die later?"

"They were dead by impact." Jarvis sighed.

"Th-thanks for telling me Jarvis." The genius whispered to his father figure and then promptly left.

He could hear Jarvis sighing as he was making his retreat.

He soon arrived at his room. He heared rustling from behind it and slowly opened it.

The scene he saw would be engraved in his mind for eternity. He promptly lost all will power to remain calm and burst out into hysterical laughter.

He quickly entered the room before closing the door behind him as he collapsed against it. He was still laughing as Rhodey huffed at him in annoyance.

"Ha ha, very funny Tones. Tell your murder friend to get down from the nightstand. Don't even know how it's holding him up." He mumbled the last part to himself.
