the pink birthday hats, birthday costumes, colorful balloons and decorations, the sweet place, the ceremony, the lit candles, the chocolate fountain with marshmallows, the laughter of kids and adults, their giggles, their happiness, especially the cake. birthday is not perfect without the complement of cake. the cake.
those are what kids want when their birthday is coming. begging to their parents, wanting those nonsense things.
i hate candles, i hate birthdays, i hate cakes.
i hate how spongy
the cake is. i hate
how they cut the cakes
in triangle. i don't like triangle.
i don't like seeing them
cut it. i hate it. it makes me
mad. because i remember
how they cut me into pieces
and fed me to their visitors.
to please my sister.
