(6) A New Job!

Ray POV

I woke up not being able to move I look to my side, seeing April with her leg on top of mine and her arm over my stomach.

"April, April wake up" I said trying to wake her up
"Ugh, what is-" Is all she said getting off of me when she saw, we were cuddling together.
"Yeah, I am not Ramee April. I'm sorry" I said giggling

"Ha ha so funny" April responded sarcastically "Well I should probably leave, need to get ready for work" she said getting out of bed
"Oh that reminds me i have to as well" I said getting out of bed right after
"What? You have a job?" April asked confused

"Yes, the taco truck at the park infront of our apartment" I responded
"Whaaa, yay guess i'll see you on my break" She winked at me walking out of my apartment.
I just laughed grabbing my outfit for the day from my closet and a towel and went to go shower.

I finished taking a shower and wore my black high waist cargo pants and black crop top and put on a grey hoodie and wore simple light make up.

I saved Curtis's number and messaged him

hey are we opening today?

yeah we are opening at 10am

I called Yuno to let him know that I have a job.

"hello?" I heard Yuno from the other line,
"Hey Yuno! guess what?" I asked excitedly
"what- oh wait let me guess... uhm... got a new outfit?" he asked
"no, but it is 'new'.." I said the smile never leaving my face.

"new huh? hmm I have no idea, what is it, Ray?" he asked giving up
"fine, I got a new job! I'll be able to make my own money, so I don't have to rely on you" I said happily.
"really? that's good Ray congrats! what is it?" he asked
"I'll be a cook at a taco truck at the park" I said

"today is my first shift, you can buy some tacos from me!" I said giggling
"okay! I'll stop by" he said while chuckling
"okay Yuno! see you~" I said before hanging up.

this will be a new experience that's for sure. I can't wait!

I checked the time and it's nearly 10 so I decided to leave and go there a little early, don't wanna be late on my first day...

I tied my hair up into a high ponytail and took my keys and left my apartment locking my door.
I headed down stares where I saw April leaving as well.

"April!" I said, calling out to her, she turned to look at me
"Ray!!! you look good!" she said coming up to me to hug me.
"thanks! and you look stunning than ever!" I complimented her
"oh shut up, this is my usual uniform." she huffed as I giggled

"oh! I have to go now, I'm running late" April said in a rush.
"bye!" she said running in front, where Ramee pulled up in his Benz, picking up April, I chuckled at April's cuteness when I heard a familiar voice from behind me.

"Good morning Ray" I heard Randy's husky morning voice greet me, I turned to look at him only to catch him with a smirk as a blush  appeared on my face

"oh good morning Randy" I said
"when are you teaching me to ride the bike hm?" I said with a smirk.
"we can do it anytime, I can teach you today actually if you want" he shrugged.

"really? I'm down. But I gotta attend my first shift, so maybe later today?" I asked
"yeah sure, let me know" he said as I nodded.
"okay I gotta go now Randy, I'll see you later" I said, before turning around to leave when I saw him wink at me.
