"Really?"
"Yeah... that's how our first interaction went. Haha! Would you believe it? Also that fucker who wore a green hoodie is still stuck in my head. Tommy I think, was his name... I hated that he made me feel so uncomfortable the very first time." I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah well... shit happens so, we can't really do anything with that... by the way, Ray, it's getting late perhaps I can give you a ride home?" Curtis offered, but I shook my head.
"I'm fine don't worry about me, you need some rest after that big fight." I assured him.
"Yeah, totally, it's not like you just had a breakdown 15 minutes ago."
"Yeah well that's just the perk of being mentally unstable. You cry your heart out and the next minute you're ready to crash a party you weren't invited to." I joked.
"Love your humor... you sure though?" He asked again, and I just nodded to confirm.
"Alright then, this way...." he escorted me to the door and opened it for me.
And as the doors opened, there he was, Randy Bullet. Waiting outside for me while he leaned on his bike, holding a helmet.
"What's he doing here?" I asked, confused. "What?" Curtis asked as if he's not seeing Randy right there.
"What do you mean what?" I turned to face him to see a weird look on his face. "What's Randy doing here?" I asked again.
"What, you really think I wouldn't be able to know where you are?" Randy spoke, annoying me. "How many times do I have to tell you... I don't need saving." I scoffed.
"How can you be so sure of that... I don't want you going back to the hospital or worse... just- hop on, will you?"
"You're treating me as if I'm a princess lost in a magical forest in those fairytale books..." I started walking towards him.
"Well, what if it is like that? You never know what's out there, anything could happen. In fact you out of everyone I know should know that by now. Trouble is wherever you are."
"Ugh, fine... but just because I'm tired." I pouted.
"Aww wittle princess is tired huh? You're lucky I thought of picking you up." He smirked. I playfully smacked his back while I hopped on his bike.
"It's been a while since I last rode with you." I smiled. "Yeah. Well I hope you remember how to properly hold on, 'cause we're about to fly." He said, not giving me a chance to register what he had just said and took off.
The next day...
"Rise and shine, princess..." I saw the sunlight through my eyelids as I felt Randy's presence open the window, letting the morning breeze in.
"Princess?" I gagged, "don't ever call me that again." I sat up.
"Fine, you grumpy morning goblin." He rolled his eyes before giggling. "The audacity, Randy! So early in the morning!"
"Breakfast is ready!" I heard April yell in a sing-song tone from the hallway. "You guys! C'mon... don't keep the food waiting for you, it'll get cold." She smiled, knocking on the door frame and walking away while swinging her arms, humming.
"Well, someone's in a good mood..." I commented immediately noticing April's bright face. I turned to look at Randy who seemed to notice the same vibe. We both just shrugged and headed towards the kitchen.
"Sooo... what's for breakfast?" I reached the table and was surprised to see Ramee and April assisting me.
Ramee placed the foods on the table, while I sat down- April covered my shirt with a napkin.
