Climbing up the stairs, I stopped to catch my breath. "Where are we going?!" I giggled. Randy then opened the door and as soon as the cold breeze hit us, I closed my eyes. Inhaling the smell of trees and nature.
A smile formed on my face as soon as I opened my eyes. "The sun set is so beautiful!" I said, walking further into the center of the rooftop. "I never knew we're allowed to do this." I commented making Randy giggle. "Hee, we aren't, but I do it anyways. It's so peaceful up here." He said, sitting down.
I sat down beside him, just feeling the breeze, and listening to the birds singing. Making my body relax. "Ray," I heard Randy spoke up. I hummed in response, waiting for him to continue. "I have something for you." He said, taking a box out of his pocket.
"For me?" I asked, turning to face him. "Here, it's a little something..." He said softly, handing me the box. "Open it." He smiled. Making me curious, I opened it to see a beautiful necklace. "This is for me?" I asked, tears escaping from my eyes. He just nodded. "Why?" I asked, wiping my tears.
"Do you really want me to answer that?" He asked, as I nodded. "Yeah." I replied with a smile. "Well," he sighed, before continuing. "I'm not too good at expressing emotions. But I can answer that... yeah." He smiled, clearing his throat.
"Okay before you say something‐ No, I don't love. Alright? Man don't do that out here." He joked, making me laugh. He stared at the sun setting as I stared at the necklace listening to his warm voice...
"My whole life, the only friend I had was my brother, I grew up having a hard time to trust anyone." He paused. "Then I met the people I call my family back in Los Santos, they took care of me until K offered me a job at Wu Chang records, I learned how to be a producer and got really close to them." He smiled.
"Is this a story time?" I cut him off, chuckling. "Yeah." He smiled, followed by a nod. "Okay, I wanna listen." I said, sitting more closer towards him and leaning my head on his shoulder. I closed my eyes as he continued.
"Oh yeah, my brother left me in England to become a cop before I flew to Los Santos, in hopes that I'll see him. That's when I met Chang Gang... it's what we call our group." He paused. "In the ends, there's a lot of hobos and it's also chaotic there. So when a terrorist attack happened on our field trip, he swore to protect me." He sighed.
-Flashback-
Sirens wailing, the men in black suits are now dead and most of them surrendered after a 6 hour holdout. My throat is dry, cops are investigating everything, screams and people crying is all I hear around me.
I'm at the ambulance being assisted, staring at the void when I heard a familiar voice yell coming from the busy crowd.
"Randy! RANDY!" AJ called out to me, rushing towards me, and pushing everyone in the way until he finally reached me. Sobbing, I flew in his arms. "AJ!" I cried. "Are you okay?" He asked me, pulling back from the hug, checking if I was hurt. "Mentally, no." I joked.
He hugged me again, not letting go, he spoke up. "I'm sorry, I knew I had a bad feeling about this. I should've trusted my gut and never let you go." He whispered. "And now this all happened." He pulled back, his eyes filled with anger.
"I'll make sure this doesn't happened again. Do you trust me?" He asked, staring in my eyes. "Yeah." I nodded.
