A few days had passed since your outing with Sasha. During those days you went through the conflicting emotions of wondering whether you made the right decision of leaving Brad. You know you made the right choice, but the memories of the good times with him made you feel solemn. You hadn't been sleeping good, tossing and turning all night, and you felt lonely and sad.

You sat up in bed after another fitful night of sleep and yawned heavily, attempting to fully wake up and start your day. A light knock on your door pulled you out of your hazy thoughts.

"Come in," you exhaled, halfway through another yawn.

The door opened quietly to reveal Sasha on the other end of the door. She walked in and sat at the edge of your bed. "Hey, I just wanted to check on you. You've been quiet lately. I know you're going through a lot, but I'm here to help you." She softly put her hand on top of yours, and gave short, comforting rubs on top of your hand.

"Thank you. I've been thinking a lot and I wonder if I should finally call my mom back and explain everything to her. I think I need to call Brad too... We both deserve closure." You sighed heavily, not wanting to face this decision but knowing it's the right thing to do.

She made eye contact with you and sighed, "(Y/N)... I think you're right, I just worry that he's going to try to manipulate you into getting back with him."

"I know. I won't let that happen though. Will you stay in the room with me whenever I do it?"

"Of course, let me make you a cup of coffee so you can gather your thoughts."

She got up and left the room, closing the door on her way out. You decided to go ahead and shower and get dressed, since you hadn't had the energy to do so in the past few days. You felt gross, but you gave yourself a bit of grace because of your depressed state.

You picked out an oversized band shirt from your closet, as well as some black leggings and a fresh pair of underwear with your bra, making your way to the bathroom. You quickly brushed the tangles out of your hair and turned on the shower, getting undressed while waiting for the water to warm up. The water got to the perfect temperature, so you eased your way into the shower and let the water graze over your body. You lathered up some shampoo in your hands, raking your fingers through your hair and massaging your scalp. After rinsing the shampoo, you put some conditioner in your hair and left it in while you exfoliated, shaved, and washed your body. After thoroughly rinsing your hair, you turned the water off and stepped out of the shower, your feet pressing into the soft and cushioned bath mat that was placed outside of the shower. You grabbed a towel and dried yourself off, getting dressed into the clothes you picked out. You wrapped your hair up into the towel to avoid getting your clothes wet and quickly brushed your teeth and did your morning skincare routine.

You left the bathroom and immediately smelled the strong scent of coffee that Sasha was brewing, enticing you to leave your room. You made your way to the kitchen and sat down at the table. "Perfect timing, I just finished making your cup," she smiled brightly and placed your cup in front of you, while sitting down with her own cup in hand. You looked at her and a small smile came across your lips as you softly thanked her.

You both drank the coffee in silence, and as you finished your cup, you made your way to the sink. Your hands were trembling as you rinsed out your cup, shakily placing it on the other side of the sink with the other dirty dishes. You were nervous for the conversations that were about to take place, but you knew it needed to be done. Sasha had just finished her cup as well, so she went to the sink to rinse out her cup, as you leaned onto the counter beside her, attempting to calm yourself down. She dried her hands off and softly put her hand on your shoulder, her comforting touch giving you a sense of peace.
