XI- Anticipation

I woke up feeling better than I thought I would until I remembered the events of the night. Foolish called
me pretty and beautiful in front of Sapnap and Sam, and Sapnap was being defensive about it. Weird. I was torn between addressing the situation or pretending like it didn't exist. I'm not going to lie, I liked the attention from the two of them but it was a bit overwhelming. It also scared me to get caught up in Karl's friends like that.

Before I knew it I was pacing back and forth in my room trying to decide what to do when Karl walked in.

"Uhh Mel? Everything okay in here?"

"OH YEAH... I mean yes yes everything's fine." I panicked.

"Mel... explain right now."

I ended up telling him the whole situation of what happened. When I was finished Karl had the biggest scowl on his face.

"Please don't be mad at them, they were super drunk." I began to bite my nails anxiously.

"That's so uncool of them Mel. Like what the Fuck."

I had never heard Karl genuinely curse before so I was shocked. I got up and ran to the bathroom.

"Mel cmon i'm not mad at you please come out of there" He pleaded.

"I'm just gonna- uh take a shower." I lied holding back the tears building in my eyes.

I knew I shouldn't have told him. How stupid was that. Now he's gonna be mad at Foolish and Sapnap and Sam and it's all my fault. And now they're all gonna hate me too.

I silently sobbed in the bathroom and eventually decided to shower off. I stepped in the shower and immediately saw red flowing down the drain. I looked down at my hands and sobbed even harder.

After about 20 minutes I pulled myself together and got out of the shower. I felt... a little bit better. I put on a pair of grey sweats and a pink cropped tank top. As I left my room I could hear Karl talking on discord. Without thinking I walked into his room.

"-i'm sorry dude I really didn't mean to upset her." I immediately recognized Foolish's voice.

"It's okay I think it just overwhelmed her, cause I think she definitely has a crush on you too-"

"KARL" I screamed.

Karl frantically turned around looking paler than usual in the face.

"Oh shit. i'm gonna have to uh call you back Foolish"

"No let me talk to him." I demanded.

I sat down in Karl's chair and put his headset on so he couldn't hear what Foolish was saying.

"Hey"

"Hey"

"why don't we just-"

"forget what happened yesterday?" Foolish cut me off.

"Yeah..."

"Fine, but as long as you know that I do think you're super pretty."

"Thank you Noah." I decided to tease him a little by using his real name.

It took him a minute to respond and all he managed to say was "do you wanna play valorant." I laughed at his response and told him to give me 30 minutes and then i'd be ready to play. I ended the call and looked over at Karl.

"He called me first by the way... to apologize." Karl stammered.

"Okay I believe you." I walked past him and out of the room.

"Sapnap comes tomorrow by the way. Just wanna make sure you're prepared."

I stopped dead in my tracks . I completely forgot that Sapnap was staying with us.

"Yep i'm totally prepared." I smiled back at Karl sarcastically.

I walked into the kitchen and made myself oatmeal with strawberries and blueberries. It was so good. After eating I decided to launch valorant. While the game was loading I put some makeup on and made my hair a little more presentable. I called Foolish and turned my camera on. If he was gonna be flirty with me, I can do the same back.

He answered the call and I almost gasped. He didn't have his headset on so his hair was laid perfectly with 2 little strands over his face. I snapped myself out of the daze I was in and started normal conversation. We played for 2 hours until Foolish decided he wanted to stream. I was really tired so I told him I would talk to him later maybe.

I was feeling pretty good playing with Foolish today. Except for one little thing nagging at the back of my mind. Sapnap was staying with us tomorrow and we hadn't spoken since last night.

I walked into Karl's room and decided to ask him if he spoke to Sapnap today.

"Yep. He said he's REALLY excited to meet you."
