XII - Tension

I ended up not going back on Foolish's stream that night. Instead I helped Karl clean the house before Sapnap arrived. After cleaning Karl ordered Thai food and we watched a movie.

"Mel, don't be nervous about meeting Nick. He is one of the sweetest people I know."

"You know how I am with new people Karl." I stared down at my food.

"I'm sure he's just as nervous as you are."

"I highly doubt that."

"Yeah yeah, just whatever you do, please don't hook up with him. I cant have him getting more bitches than me." Karl laughed

"KARL." I almost choked on my food laughing.

Both of us ended up falling asleep on the couch at 2 in the morning. Which probably was a bad idea considering me and Karl's horrible sleep schedule and that Sapnap was flying in at 11am.

"Melanie get up." Karl shoved my shoulder. "Nicks gonna be here in 15 minutes."

"WHAT." I ran to the bathroom to get ready.

Not that I was trying to impress sapnap but I didn't want to look like I just woke up either. After showering I put on leggings and a crop top. Before leaving my room I saw sapnaps merch hanging in the closet and it gave me an idea.

Sapnap POV

My flight just landed so I decided to give Karl a call.

"KARLLLL IM IN NORTH CAROLINAAA"

"YAS POG. Do you need me to pick you up?"

"Nah it's all good I got an uber and i'll be there in 15 minutes."

"Oh shit okay I gotta wake up Melanie."

"Hahah yes make sure she's awake when I arrive."

My stomach was in knots the entire car ride to Karl's place. I was so nervous about meeting Melanie. We hadn't talked since the incident on stream. What if she hates me and won't speak to me the entire time I'm here. Just be confident and friendly I told myself. I was so lost in thought I didn't even realize the uber had stoped at Karl's house.

I walked up to the door and before I could even knock Karl flug it open and gave me the biggest hug ever. Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone standing behind Karl. They had a very narrow frame and looked to be about 5'4. What stood out in particular was the sweatshirt they were wearing. I broke off the hug with Karl and looked Melanie directly in the eyes.

"Sweatshirt looks good on you."

Her face turned red and she just smiled. God she's so cute.

"Hey come here." I held out my arms.

She walked over and gave me a hug. I buried my head in the crook of her neck. Her hair smelled of strawberries and I never wanted to let go.

"Ahaha guys get a room or something." Karl joked.

Melanie pulled away immediately looking slightly embarrassed. She then held out her hand.

"It's very nice to meet you Sapnap."

I grabbed her hand softly and shook it.

"Please, call me Nick."

"Hey so I only have one guest room so Melanie said she'd sleep on the couch and give you the bed Nick." Karl broke the awkward silence between the 3 of us.
