XIV - the shoot

I woke up the next morning and tried to stretch but something was holding me down. I opened my eyes to see Nicks arm across my stomach. Oh fuck. I guess Nick was really tired because when I finally released myself from his grip he was still asleep.

I walked into the Kitchen to make coffee and I saw Karl Smiling.

"Nick owes you $20 right?"

His smile left his face instantly.

"What. How did you know about that."

"I heard you guys talking about it before dinner." I laughed.

10 minutes later Nick walked into the kitchen half asleep.

"Dude she knew about the bet."

that woke Nick up completely

"Wait What."

"It's fine haha. I don't really care but at least I earned Karl $20."

Nick let out a small chuckle and it seemed like he was sad.

"Do you want coffee Nick?"

"Sure thanks."

"So today we have a shoot with Mr Beast Melanie."

"WAIT REALLY? Why didn't you tell me?"

"I wanted to surprise you."

"Melanie is Nolan's sister." Karl explained to Nick.

"No way that's awesome." Nick said.

After breakfast we all got ready for the shoot. I wore black leggings, a blue sweater and my docs. The classic fit. I decided to put my new ring on too.

I decided to drive and Nick called shotgun.

"Hey that's not fair." Karl pouted.

"Snooze you lose buddy." Nick shrugged.

The car ride to the shoot was... slightly awkward. I didn't say much to either of the boys. Just listened to their conversation. I kept wondering about last night with Nick and if it meant anything more to him. My thoughts were interrupted by a phone call.

*Incoming call from: foolish underscore gamers*

Nick scoffed.

"What?" I snapped at him.

"Nothing nothing."

I answered the phone and took it off speaker.

"Hey what's up? Mhh, okay, yeah, fuck I wish I could. Maybe later, how long are you streaming for? Oh right haha forgot you stream for hourssss."

I could feel my face turning redder each second I was on the phone. And I could also feel Nicks eyes staring into the side of my face.
