Kida's POV

"So where are you and the 8K soulmates going tonight?" I say as I wrap my arms around my nude soulmate.

"We're going to Moonshadows." Syd says.

"Cool." I say.

"What about you and your sisters?"

"Katara wanted to go on a dinner cruise so we're doing that." I say.

"Well that sounds fun." Syd says.

"Mhmm." I say then I lean down and kiss my soulmate's pulse point. "I love you Sydney."

Syd hums then she turns in my arms and hugs me.

"Love you too." Syd mumbles as she puts her head in my neck. "You're gonna come back to me right?"

I leave for my security gig in Pakistan tomorrow.

Syd's miscarriage happened a few months ago.

We've been doing better than I thought we would be.

After Syd recovered physically, she took the rest of the season off to recover mentally and emotionally.

I told Syd I was going to cancel my security contract, but she told me not to because she doesn't want me to burn the bridge with my friend I'm helping.

However, instead of me being gone a month, Bear and I'll only be gone two weeks.

"Always Princess" I say. "I'll always come back to you."

"Good." Syd says then she softly kisses me. "Now let's get ready for our dates."

I nod then my soulmate and I get ready for our dates.

Syd's miscarriage scared all of us, but it scared Katara more than most so she asked if we could all have weekly date nights together so we can maximize the time on earth we have with each other.

Everyone liked the idea so every Tuesday is date night in our family.

On the first Tuesday of each month, the respective couples have date night so Syd, Bear, and I go on a date alone.

On the second Tuesday of each month, different couples go out on a double date night with each other.

Two weeks ago Syd and I went with Kiara and Alex on our double date.

On the third Tuesday of each month, everyone goes out on a date night together.

And on the last Tuesday of each month, which is today, my sisters and I go on a date while our soulmates go on a date together.

"Bye Beautiful." I say after I'm dressed then I kiss my girlfriend.

"Bye." Syd says with a smile then she returns to doing her make up as I grab my wallet, phone, and keys.

Once I have my stuff, I harness up Bear, then we leave our bedroom, head down to the garage and get in my Lamborghini Urus.

"Ready Bear?" I ask as I look at my dog in the rearview mirror.

Bear woofs so I open the garage door, start my car, then I drive out of the garage.

Once I'm out of the garage, I shut my the garage door then I pick up Katara, Karou, and Kaiya.

"Ready?" I ask as I notice Kiara picking up Katarina, Kleo, and Korra.

"Yeah." My passengers say so I begin the drive to where we meet our boat for the dinner cruise.

After a 30 minute drive, we arrive at Marina Del Rey Marina so I park, Kiara parks next to me, then we all get of the cars and head to our private boat we'll be in for the night.

"This boat is nice." Katara says as we're lead onto the boat.

"Very nice." I say then I follow my sisters to the main deck of the large boat where our table is.

Once at the table, I sit on the booth side of the table and I sit in-between Katara and Katarina.

After we're sat down, the captain comes out and talks to us about our trip then the waitress comes out and takes our drink order then she disappears.

"When did this happen?" Karou asks as she shows me a notification on her phone.

"Earlier today." I say as I read the notification about me hiring Sam Presti, the former GM of the OKC thunder, to be the GM of the Lakers.

"Think he'll get rid of some of the vets?" Kiara asks as our boat leaves the marina.

"I hope." I say. "I'm still pissed Rob signed Westbrook and Melo when I told him not to."

"That guy was an idiot." Korra says.

"A big idiot." I say.

"Are you happy with the roster of your NWHL team?" Kleo asks.

"I am." I say. "Our first three picks were insane and our first line is probably the best in the league."

The draft was a 15 round snake draft so the first team to draft in the first round had the last pick in the second round then the first pick in the third round.

My team, the LA Monarchs, were drawn in the 6th position of the draft, but we also made some trades with other teams so we had the 6th, 8th, and 9th pick in the first round.

Our first three picks we're Marie-Philip Poulin, Hilary Knight, and Sarah Nurse

I believe our first line is going to be Marie-Philip Poulin, Hilary Knight, and Sarah Nurse up front, Claire Thompson and Cayla Barnes in defense, and our goalie will be Maddie Rooney.

For the 8th pick, which belonged to the Connecticut Whale, we gave up our first round draft pick of this years college/entry draft which is in a week and for the 9th pick, which belonged to the Buffalo Beauts, we gave up our 2nd round draft pick of this years college/entry draft which is in a week.

The Entry draft is the draft for players who just finished their junior year of college.

Also this year we're gonna allow those not drafted in the first draft to reenter their name and be selected.

The first draft was only for current professional players from around the world.

"I can't wait to go to games." Kleo says.

"Same." My other sisters say.

"How's the stadium thing gonna work?" Kiara asks.

"I terminated the Clippers' deal with Crypto.com Arena so now my four teams will be the only sports teams to play there." I say. "How the schedule works I have no clue, but we'll find out soon."

"Kida." Katara says.

"Yeah Katara?" I ask.

"Do you have to go tomorrow?" My youngest sister asks.

"Yeah Katara." I say. "Yeah I do."
