Mrs Ahn jumped out of her car and ran to the medical school's entrance. She stopped and stared at Aunt Yeongja who was giving her a death stare.

"How dare your daughter assault my daughter?" She spat. Mrs Ahn scoffed, "Your daughter was asking for it. Who told her to paste offensive sticky notes on my daughter's desk?"

"Ah, you know how to argue now. I thought you were just a doll that can be controlled. You used to listen to everything that I say. It's cute how you're trying to argue with me right now."

"Just because I kept silent doesn't mean I don't know how to go against you, Yeongja. I'm not stupid."

"Wow, Yejin," Yeongja clapped her hands out of amusement, "You're very brave now. It's concerning."

They both rolled their eyes and entered the building. Yejin headed to the director's office and opened the door, seeing Daeun and Bina sitting next to each other. Daera stood immediately from her seat, "Mrs Ahn."

"Director Kang, I am so sorry for what happened."

"Have a seat," Daera said and watched as Yeongja stepped into the room before taking a seat across from Yejin.

Yeongja folded her arms, "Director Kang, shouldn't you punish Daeun for–"

"Both are at fault here. I do not want to blame only one person. Bina initiated the argument first. And Daeun assaulted her out of anger. I have to give both of them punishment."

"I fully understand, Director Kang," Yejin said, composed and modest.

Yeongja scoffed and mumbled, "Trying to act like a better person."

"Thank you, Mrs Ahn. You may leave early to release some stress. You can continue your lectures tomorrow."

Yejin and Daeun stood up before bowing at Daera out of respect. Yeongja scoffed and glared at the director, "Don't you have to suspend Daeun from coming to this school? She assaulted my daughter."

"Your daughter is also at fault, Mrs Ahn. I can't do that when I have clear proof that both of them are at fault. You may leave."

Yeongja instantly stood up and dragged her daughter out of the office. Daera scoffed, "Rude bitch."

Jay gave Bina a confused look before entering his wife's office. He sighed, "It didn't go well, huh?"

"Bina's mom is so rude. I kinda like it when Daeun slammed her daughter's face onto the desk."

He laughed and pulled his wife into his embrace, "You did well, sweetheart. You're the best director I've ever known."

"Are you saying your dad did a bad job?"

He frowned, "I didn't say that."

"I'm just messing with you," she laughed. He gave her a quick kiss on the lips, "How about we go on a date tonight? Dad can take care of Daehyun."

"No, I can't burden your father anymore. He's old and he's been taking care of Daehyun for a week now."

"But he likes taking care of Daehyun. It's better than taking care of Jiah. She's quite loud for him."

"Yah! If she hears this then you're not going to be her favourite uncle anymore."

"I'm not in the mood, mom."

Daeun scowled as she stared at her meal. Mrs Ahn sighed, "Daeun, you have to eat. I rented this restaurant so you have to eat. You'll get sick with an empty stomach!"

"Are you not going to scold me for hitting Bina?"

Mrs Ahn shrugged and leaned back against her chair, "She deserves it. I'm tired of being quiet and stupid. If you want to hit her, then hit her. Stand up for yourself, sweetie."

"That's quite nice. Why didn't you tell me that before?" Daeun smiled and finally picked up her spoon and fork.

"I'm relieved that Yeongja is not going to join us for your dad's event. She's not even the wife of a president but acts like one. Embarrassing," Mrs Ahn said while drinking her wine.

Daeun laughed and flinched when her phone rang. Sunghoon's name was displayed on the screen. Her mother smirked, "Go take that call. Your boyfriend is waiting."

Boyfriend.

She blushed at the word and excused herself before picking up the call near the washroom.

"Hey," she breathed out.

"Are you okay? I heard what happened."

She smiled when he was checking up on her. The way he was worried about her made her heart melt.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for asking."

"I hope I was there to comfort you. This three-day programme is so boring. Being there with you is more fun."

"Yah, Park Sunghoon. What should we do? You're not here to do our everyday kisses. It's part of the rules."

She could hear him chuckle at the other side of the call. "Well then, I guess I have to go back to you and repay all the kisses I've missed."

"Yah! Don't say that."

"Why? I'm quite experienced in kissing, you know?"

She could sense that he was smirking proudly at his remarks. "I'm hanging up," she said before pressing the end call button.
