"We're here," Sunghoon said and glanced at Daeun who just woke up next to him. He turned off the car engine and got out before opening the car door for her. She hugged his arm as they both went into the beach house.

"You're here!" Areum exclaimed excitedly and hugged her tightly. Heeseung frowned as he chased after her, "Areum, you're pregnant. Watch your steps."

"Where are the others?" Sunghoon asked as he explored the house. He looked around the kitchen, and then the living room before walking towards the pool outside. There was even a volleyball court at the beach.

"There they are," Heeseung answered Sunghoon's question and pointed at Edlyn and Jay who just entered the house. Daera and Jake followed after them as they held their ice creams.

"First activity!" Edlyn said as she clapped her hands happily, "Volleyball at the beach."

Sunghoon's smile slowly turned into a frown, "I don't feel like playing–"

"You have to. Or you'll be assigned to wash the dishes tonight."

The male doctor gave in and watched as she walked to the kitchen to drink some water. Daeun approached Areum and asked, "Why does she want to play volleyball so bad?"

"What do you mean by only Edlyn? Daera and I are excited to play — watch our husbands play volleyball. You'll know why," the detective smirked and patted her back gently.

"Oh," Daeun breathed out, "I understand now."

She admired Sunghoon warming up his body, shirtless. Areum blushed as she watched her husband discussing with Jake while holding the volleyball. Edlyn took off her sunglasses and approached Areum before giving them to her.

"Are you joining, Daeun?"

"No, I'm bad at volleyball. But I'll surely watch," she smiled back at her, feeling entertained to watch the boys warming up.

"I told you it'll be fun," Areum laughed and put on her sunglasses, "The sun is sure bright today."

"They look like they just came out of a movie."

"They're hot, right?" the detective continued. Jay started dividing the groups and made sure he was in the same group with his wife. Sunghoon got into the same group as Jake and Edlyn.

Heeseung started throwing the volleyball and cheered happily when Jake missed it. "Good job, honey!" Areum clapped her hands and kept watching.

Daeun admired how Sunghoon looked ethereal under the bright sun. She watched closely as he panted tiredly while trying his best to smack the ball back to the opponent's side. Jake noticed and smirked, "You're drooling, Ahn Daeun!"

Edlyn smacked him and pointed at the ball, "Eyes on the ball!"

Before he could even avoid it, Heeseung managed to smack it hard and made it hit his head. "Yah!" Jake yelled out of annoyance and tried to hit it hard so that it would hit Heeseung back.

Daeun laughed but stopped when her phone beeped. She felt confused when her father's name was displayed on the screen. She excused herself and went back into the beach house.

She saw a video attached and clicked on it. She gasped in shock when she saw her father being tied to a wooden chair while bleeding. His eyes were so swollen that she couldn't even see his eyes.

She didn't want to make Areum worried and glanced at her to make sure the detective wasn't looking. She then typed quickly to ask where her father was.

"If you want to know where he is right now, I'll attach the location later. Come alone. If I find you with the police or just anyone, he's dead."

"Shit," she rushed to the living room and grabbed Sunghoon's car keys that were on the coffee table. She glanced at the others for the last time before storming out of the house.

Bina ran to the vice president's office and knocked on the door continuously. "Mr Lee!" She called for him. Her eyes started forming tears out of panic and worry. The said man opened the door and scowled, "What's with all the noise, Bina?"

"It's my uncle. He's in danger! Mr Joo said something about him backing away from the job and he said that he'll take over. I'm sure Mr Joo harmed my uncle. You have to help me–"

"Mr Lee, nice to see you again."

Bina widened her eyes when she saw Mr Joo walking towards them. "I thought I told the guards to kick you out?" He forced out a smile. Mr Lee stood in front of her to protect her, "I thought you were still in jail. Where the hell is the president? What have you done?"

"I remember when your daughter-in-law shot me. And also, where's my son? I heard he's staying with your daughter-in-law. I want Minhyuk back. He's my son."

"Don't ever hurt my family, Minsung," Mr Lee felt his jaw clenched out of anger, "Where the fuck is Ahn. You expect to be a president with this type of behaviour?"

"He's somewhere safe. His daughter is rescuing him? Or do you want me to call Areum to save him?" Mr Joo laughed as he felt entertained by Mr Lee's reaction.

"She's pregnant. Don't you dare hurt her. Get lost, Joo Minsung."

"Relax. I won't hurt Areum. But I can't guarantee you that everyone will be safe," he said again before walking away.

Mr Lee sighed heavily and turned around to grab his car keys, "Call for the bodyguards, Bina. I'm going to find Mr Ahn."

"I'm coming with you."

"No," he made sure she stayed still, "It's dangerous. Who knows what that psychopath might do."

"Please. It's about time I do things right. He is my uncle after all. I can't just stay still since I know about all this. Please, Mr Lee. You have to take me with you."

"Come."
